Drew Cook's stock is rising; he's at 6'5", 250 lbs

The last scholarship TE we added was Coons, from the '17 class. We didn't add any TEs in the '18 class. However, we appear poised to add 2 TE commits in the '19 class.
Given that some TE's grow into OL's, they should ideally take 2 each year. If the right kids/athletes aren't available in a given class, it's probably ok to skip a class if the underclasses are already stocked.

Usually TE-types who project on the OL are told up-front that the Hawks think that they could develop on the OL. Usually they tell those sorts of guys that they'll see how their body develops ... and see if the guy "outgrows" TE. That is what happened with Boettger - he was tentatively recruited at TE ... however, the coaches knew that he had huge growth potential. Similarly, the Hawks recruited Ballard in '07 ... and he outgrew the TE spot too (and moved over to the DL).

The Hawks saw Plumb in the '18 class an knew right away that he'd project at OT. Similarly, the Hawks offered Torres (and initially landed him) ... but it seems like they had an eye on his growth potential as well. Once they got a better picture of what the attrition would look like - they needed to readjust their recruiting emphasis ... and once they told Torres that they liked him more on the OL ... he flipped to Western Michigan.
