BTW, PLF is Parachute Landing Fall. It's basically a controlled crash since you are falling at about 18-20 fps under a deployed canopy.

You hit with feet generally together, knees slightly bent. On contact, your knees act as shocks and you try to fall to one side or the other and roll. It hurts and it breaks you over time. Luckily, I only had to do 5, but I was 44 when I did them. My body was already broken enough.

And yes, I've skydived a couple of times, WAY better experience and landing.
