I want to know, who should be in charge of the Election, on a national and state basis. What specific actions have to take place for you to actually have faith that the Election was conducted fairly? There were cameras in the counting rooms, we know there were equal number of observers from both parties. Do you want elections completely nationalized? Do you want every person in every corner of the country to show up and verbally "declare" their vote so that there are no secret ballots whatsoever (and in theory everyone could tally along at home?). The craziest part to me at all is that Trump actually IMPROVED in many cities, even getting a better margin in Philadelphia than he was in 2016. Regarding Detroit, the turnout was still not even terribly high. It was actually one of the lowest in the country, and a simple google of the population of Wayne County and Detroit....compared to the number of ballots actually illustrates that. So I really want to know, what else could have possibly been done with the election this year to make it "believable"?

You guys have a long way to go to convince me this isn't just sour grapes. The biggest reason I feel that way is because you all voted, and you're probably going to vote next time, too. I don't think you would vote if you TRULY believed the outcome was pre-determined or that your vote would not count.

1) a paper ballot to confirm every vote
2) zero automatic absentee ballots only justified reason
3) zero early voting
4) no calling of any states during any national election until the last contiguous voting location is closed
5) no counting of any ballots without equal and present representation from both parties
6) no ballot would count if not received at a collection location before EOB on voting day
7) valid state id before voting

These are simple solutions that must be implemented moving forward if we want to have open and honest elections.

To those that say silly things about massive voter fraud didn't happen, you are being as intellectually dishonest as anyone ever on these boards. Through identified fraud and count mistakes already seen in audits, I think everyone should be concerned regardless of your political leanings. That doesn't even take into account the ballot harvesting and ballot corrections that have illegally occurred.

I don't think the Supreme Court will order a new vote, but I think we all know that serious improvements are needed to avoid the joke that this most recent election was.

Hence you do not acknowledge any election in this country for last fifty years including Trumps - right ?

Trump won by slimmer margins in 2016. Where were you ?

I’m sure you were screaming at the top of your lungs for these measures to be taken in 2016, right? RIGHT?!?!?

Absentee ballots. That’s the problem even though Trump has voted absentee. Probably did this year.
Yes, he had a valid reason. He was not going to be in his state of residence on voting day because of work. Kind of like being stationed in Kuwait on election day. They have a valid reason. Being a fat piece of shit that doesn't want to go vote, or isn't responsible enough to remember, on voting day isn't a valid reason.

Every state except have a universal paper trail for all ballots. Those four are red states. Louisiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Texas.

Why only the two parties? Shouldn’t there be equal representatives from every party? There were 9 candidates on the Iowa ballot. Shouldn’t they all be in every counting station?

What’s a justified reason for voting absentee? Afraid of covid? Getting my hair done? Banging OP wife? What is a justified reason? Who is going to pay for the extra poll workers? You ok with taxes going up? What’s wrong with early voting? In Iowa it’s the same process, except polling stations are located in courthouses mostly.

I’m fine with the ID, as long as any government issued ID is ok and it is absolutely 100% free to obtain. That means if you need a copy of a birth certificate it has to be issued for free.

Why would I scream at the top of my lungs that Philly or Detroit failed to deliver thousands of ballots with just a vote for President in time to get them illegally counted? Let's start thinking please.

Not a denier but seems like a lot of things would be easier to finalize with national ID and one vote. Regardless of how you vote it’s tied to ID. Duplicates and fraud wouldn’t happen and if somebody stole somebody’s void it could be voided and recast.

paper trail is not a paper ballot. you do understand this? My mark should be there not what an electronic voting machine may think I meant to vote

No, this country has 2 viable parties. My preference would actually be to do away with any political affiliation. Make voters vote based on issues not party

What's justified? Out of state for work, disability that prevents transport to a polling place, hospitalization and maybe one or two others

How much to poll workers get paid? I honestly thought they were volunteers.

What's wrong with early voting? You don't have all of the facts leading up to an election and hence you are not educated enough to be casting a vote, and if you aren't responsible enough to remember to vote on voting day, you shouldn't be voting anyway.

You've gone 'round the bend.

Not a denier either but it seems the circumstances of COVID and the mail in went together maybe a little too perfect.

Ok so my plan going forward -

Everyone votes in person with an ID. You make the election a three day event with one of the days being a national holiday. You have to apply for a mail in ballot and have a legitimate reason; military, disabled, nursing home, etc.

Everyone should have more than enough time to get in to their polling place and prove they are who they are and vote. The more ways you give people to vote the more ripe it is for corruption...or even the perception of corruption. I know our society wants to make everything super easy and convenient but this is one thing that the importance of getting it right outweighs that imo.

Fraud ISN'T happening. Not to ANY level that would change this election in either direction. It didn't happen for Trump in 2016 and it didn't happen in 2020.

Again, a paper trail is a paper record of each ballot. A paper ballot is no more secure than anything else. In fact, it’s arguably less secure. You can’t hack a voter database without leaving a trail.

I can think of a hundred additional valid reasons for voting absentee. The fact of the matter is you want it to make it more inconvenient to vote.

I knew who I was voting for in 2020 by the end of 2017. My mind didn’t change. If you’re not sure don’t vote.

Come on, you can't even believe the first comment

No one on this earth reasonably thinks unlimited mail-in ballots and early voting is the best way for a secure election. I'm sure you could come up with a 100 reasons to justify why your side is too lazy and uneducated to get out and vote on election day

Then you would be given the opportunity to vote on election day despite the disaster of ideas for which the base of your party believes. That's the great aspect of America. Even uneducated, unreliable, and non-contributing voters can go do what their democratic bosses and media tell them to do.

Why should it be Election Day? Why not election month? Or even week? Why do you want to make it harder to vote? Just answer that.

If you insist on a day for the election, would you support making it a federal holiday?

Calling someone too uneducated to vote and railing against absentee voting is the polite way for @gonegolfing to say he doesn't think black people voting absentee in Detroit, Milwaukee, Atlanta or Philadelphia should have been able to decide the election.
Craziness. One of Trump's greatest accomplishments is the inroads that he has made both in the black and hispanic communities. If Republicans continue to focus on delivering policy positions to most minority groups in this country, they can certainly start to end the democrats control over those voting blocs. It would be a positive for everyone.

It's not who is voting in those communities. It's how those votes were generated. Getting back to a voting day with limited absentee and mail-in voting only helps secure the election. EOS.

As a gay black guy I can 100% vouch for this.
