Try to prop up the anti-immigration European populist groups. On the right currently there is a faction really concerned about immigration destroying extant culture in a given nation. It's part of Elon's new political hobbyhorse.

I am starting to think they are trying poorly gaslight by being repetitive as possible. Especially because all of their examples are false equivalencies. I have noticed a ton of that from them on here recently on all sorts of subjects. With around 50% of internet traffic being bots it certainly makes me wonder. AI will only make that number worse.

That's part of the gripe. That because Germany ****ed up badly in the past they can't actually complain about anything cultural related to minority groups in their country. (in their case it's basically about Muslims and some of their crime/terrorist incidents)

And this logic extends more broadly to the rest of Europe and immigration -- they've been assholes in the past... so they err on the side of being really accepting. (enter the argument that they've been guilt tripped into being too accepting and now they're bringing in too many immigrants that aren't assimilating into the culture, are causing more crime etc)

It's obvious anybody is going to have their arm in that position at one time or another. Freeze frame and you get it. That's not interesting. (and it wouldn't be for Elon either)

Video is more meaningful. The difference between Elon and AOC is that obviously AOC was motioning while speaking and her arm was more out to her side, not as rigid. Basically not a purposeful salute. Obviously anybody with half a brain understood Elon was doing a salute of some nature.

And the salute just happened to be a pretty good match with a nazi salute. (or the roman salute from which the nazi salute was derived)

Doesn't mean he is a nazi or was trying to be, but the salute matched.
