instead of complaining about every talking head that "disrespects" Iowa, embrace the fact that Iowa is in their heads and coming out of their mouths.
The narrative won't change (even if the Hawks win the B10CG, we will just here about that being the only good win and how some other teams should be in the playoff outside of them and how Iowa will not match up regardless of who the playoff opponent is).
Iowa is the minds of pretty much every college football fan in the country right now.
Until you get a championship system where each power 5 conference champion gets thrown in an 8 team playoff (which you won't because it won't generate the debate/ratings as the current system), this will be the narrative (we were talking about disrespect in 09 as well) until Iowa can be in the top 25 more often than not, and not take the 3 year dip or so that we were previously experiencing -- especially when expectations from the same national media we all hate get a little bit higher.
I wonder what the narrative on our schedule this year would be had Iowa not fallen apart during the 2010 season and the following years. It may not be ideal, it may not be right, but it sure beats the alternative.
