DARBY just caught a td and ENO is looking like a beast on some runs. Could have used both this past year. Benjamin caught a pass and made a nice spin for more yds too.

Think it was sarcaism.
Point is neither would have played a down in our bowl game.
Thought it might be. They certainly could have played in our bowl. Furthermore could have contributed throughout the season. Darby might have had grade issues, but i'd certainly take ENO on my team.

Well it's true, he wouldn't have played over Wadley or Butler.
Of course he wouldn't. Those 2 were not the only running backs to carry the ball this year. 2 other rbs "sniffed the field" this year. Butler was out several games. Eno was just as game ready as Young or IKM and would have played just as much if not more than either one of them.

Guys ahead of him as talented and had already burned redshirts.

ENO would have gotten carries throughout the season much like IKM did. He's a scat back like IKM but 15-20 lbs heavier. Who knows, might have shown enough to get more carries.

Trash thread. Once Eno showed his true colors he proved he wouldn’t make it at Iowa. Hopefully he’ll do well down in AZ ,.. not an Iowa guy. Reminds me of the WR who quit in the middle of the year ...

Trash poster. Thinks he's knows something cuz he's a gold member. He was onboard with the Iowa way but some coaches screwed him. You might have noticed that they don't coach here anymore. Actually you probably didn't notice.

You really think Eno would play ahead of Wadley and Butler. I doubt if he would play ahead of Toren Young.

Oh my god here we go again! Do you even know any of the coaches to base that criticism on?
You don't, so piss off!

I wonder if the teams that lost verbal commits to Iowa labor and of course argue, about them.

It is what it is and most importantly it is behind us, let it go......IMHO.

Serious question....what actually happened? I have not heard the actual true story.

Maybe so, maybe not. Why does it matter? The Eno mess blew up , and evidently there was blame enough to go around. As others have mentioned we're fine at RB. From my recollection the staff tried to get Darby to go to prep school to get his grades in order. It worked out pretty well for Shonne Greene and some other players. He made a decision to go another route. Good luck to him.

Why do people feel the need to talk about players who never got here? I will never understand the fetish of wondering about what might have been. I am only focused on who we have and who we have coming in.

This! Don't forget about the ones that decommit. I've seen posts that broken limbs are wished upon them, never see the field, etc. etc.

You knew he was physically ready the entire year because of this bowl game after the season took place? Well, then, good for you.
I also watched plenty of his high school highlights before he committed to any school. I don't need to qualify my insights or opinion on his readiness to play by you.

There version of the story I am familiar with regarding Enogate was that he wanted to visit ASU and told coaches White and or Kennedy about his intent to do so. Those 2 coaches supposedly failed to notify KF. Eno's offer was then rescinded and coaches White and Kennedy relieved at seasons end. I can't say this is unequivocally true.

Watching the way he ran the ball as well as the one reception he had in Asu's bowl game. Very much physically ready.
Watching IKM throughthe season ... ball security was the main thing holding him back from getting more touches during the season. All the same, IKM's production during the season still far outshone Eno.

Also, IKM has a "burst" that is pretty impressive. If he can get past his ball security issues ... you'll be having a lot of fun cheering for a guy who is actually on our roster!

From reliable sources around here, Eno decided to take a souvenir with him on one of his visits. He wasn't an Iowa guy, sorry it hurts your feelings. I'm sure the young man learned some valuable lessons along the way. It's ok, some guys don't fit the mold of an Iowa football player under KF. Granted, the coaches that were let go weren't blameless, but Eno wasn't innocent as you make it seem. Good luck to him out west.
