Eno Benjamin Update

Ray- Iowa has turned away 4 star prospects...Sean Foster...They trust their own evaluations...Not some internet based squad of scouts...They offer dozens of players before these so called evaluators even assign them a star rating...Check out Earnest Brown's offer list as just one recent example....

Actually, here is what happened..Falcon had suffered serious knee injuries, multiple times..The medical staff had concerns if he would be cleared to play. Harbaugh offered him a free ride at Michigan..Same thing KF and Iowa did for Kahari Stewart..when it was determined he would not be medically cleared as a incoming freshman...Falcon still wanted the opportunity to play college football..He turned down the offer of a free education at Michigan and chose to attempt to play at Western Michigan..
show me where what you say is acurrate as the reports that I got was that jimmy boy pulled his scholarship, trying to stick up/and or defend Harblow?

Kilroy- since you brought up the topic of yanking scholarships....What is your opinion of Iowa yanking Austin Vincent's, Jack Beneventini's and Jyaz Jone's schollies? Jones had his schollie yanked right before signing day...right after a guy,at his position, had visited..Miles Taylor...As Jones stated" I got caught up in a numbers game"..

Okay:

1. Iowa has landed 5 four star commits in the last 5 years...that's absolutely terrible & embarrassing. Not sure why any Iowa fan would be bitching about Eno committing to the Hawks right now.
2. Who cares about NSD in February being a long ways away... Don't be dumb.
3. Iowa has a very real chance of landing their second 4* commit to start the class. Very important to get the momentum moving at the beginning of the class. It's a good start.
4. The reason why you're good with missing big time recruits and landing 2 stars is because you have adjusted to very low standards. Pretty pathetic.
5. Only fans of little brother schools blame the "pay day" as the reason (excuse) that recruits choose to go elsewhere.

Cliffs: Your inferiority complex is strong and makes you say really pathetic things.

1. You being embarrassed by the amount of 4 star recruits Iowa lands is sad and pathetic. Not for the team, but for you. And if you don't think Iowa fans will bitch then you weren't here last year when we were 12-0 and they were still bitching. I'm sure you were one of them because lets be honest, 12-0 just isn't good enough for people like you. Because you don't settle for mediocrity. You're awesome.
2. Well I think many on here would agree that a commit to Iowa in April don't really mean a whole lot until February. That's not dumb, that's reality.
3. I'm all for it and I agree with you 100% on that one. I didn't try to imply I don't want Eno to commit or that it's not a good thing. Just telling the guy the negative side of this board. People here love to bitch. That's the truth sport.
4. Again, it's not pathetic for me it's pathetic for you. You are the one attaching your accomplishments to the Iowa coaching staff. The people that constantly whine about everything are the ones with some serious underachieving in their own lives. It's not high standards because if Iowa went 15-0 last year guess what genius, you didn't accomplish shit. It's a sport and one you don't even participate in. That's all it is. It's not life. I root for Iowa, win or lose. They win I'm happy, they lose I move on. Guys like you come here and scream like spoiled prom bitches. It's humorous to me so I continue to come.
5. I had an extremely good bead on how recruiting worked in the mid 80s. I doubt it's been cleaned up much but you can believe what you want to believe. Truth is if Michigan/Ohio State wants a player bad enough they will almost never end up at Iowa. You can call that settling for low standards but that's a reality and I am pretty sure recruiting over the past 35 years will prove me right. But you keep shooting for the sky champ.

I really don't think I am the one with the inferiority complex. I think you need to re-read your post and see who is whining like a bitch about a lot of things they have zero control over. I won't settle for the things short of what I want to achieve and you won't settle for the things Iowa football achieves. But I'm the one with the little brother simplex? Whatever you say Little Ray Ray.

Have a good day tiger.

You didn't "get" anything. You made it up to fit your narrative...What I posted is accurate...I don't have to make up crap...like you...Plenty of articles covering what happened with Falcon..He decommitted from Michigan via twitter...

KF's staff has done a very good job at identifying talent, its just been difficult to keep them healthy and on the team, Hill who transferred to UNI was a Parade AA,

Daniels in his 1st start ran for 150 yards and he added a game of 194 yards on 25 carries, not bad 344 yards in 2 games when he was healthy. if he stays healthy he coukd just as easily be 1 of the top 5 RB's stat wise at the end of the year. not even Greene did that as for having that many yards in 2 games, the trick will be staying healthy the entire season.
Wrong. Greene had 2 games over 200 yards in 2008

SigMaint is right. Falcon tore his ACL twice, but had his commitment to the school honored with a full ride scholarship to the university. He turned that down for an opportunity to play football at Western Michigan. They were one of the few schools who would offer him a football scholarship because of the injuries.

jim harblow yanked the scholarship from instate 4* Falcon because jimmy boy was trying to get 5* Walker. so the post was valid and relevant to this point about pulling a kids offer.

this is not a habit to get into, getting a commit from 1 kid if there is a possibility of getting someone higher rated. pretty soon nobody will commit because of the possibility of their offer being pulled.

as soon as Michigan follows the path under Jim like it did under Hoke he will be gone, remember Hoke won the Sugar Bowl in his 1st season and they were glad he was hired because he was a MICHIGAN MAN,
Actually, Falcon suffered several terrible knee injuries...but if that story makes you feel better...go with it. Never let the truth get in the way of a good story. Question for all the Harbaugh haters...why do the kids want to play for him so badly, and why do they like him so much? My theory...you guys know what's coming...Michigan will roll you every year Harbaugh coaches and you know it...so badmouthing him is your elixir.

Nobody is scared of Harbaugh, he's the third best coach in his division. I'm much more afraid of OSU and MSU than I am of Michigan and that won't change as long as Meyer and Dantonio are in charge.

See there is this thing called the internet and on it is a pretty cool site called google. Enter Dan Falcon Western Michigan and you get plenty of articles like this one proving once again your information is inaccurate.

didn't like it, I am the type that believe both made a commitment to the other, in the end it is up to each side to hold up to their part of the Bargain. as for KF trying to flip another teams commit, its part of recruiting that I find distasteful and would love to see a early signing date in August before the season begins then keep the Febuary signing dat as it is to get those that did not sign in August.

it works in BB with Nov period before BB season and then in April after BB season,
as for Jones I thought he was a WR and Taylor is a DB so they did not play the same position, as for Jones wasn't he the Brother of another TX WR that was at IA for a year and then left?
hope that answers your question.

IA has beat Michigan 4 out of the last 5 meetings, Michigan will be hard pressed to win more than 9 games,
@IA, @MSU and @ O$U, Wisconsin, PSU and Indiana you know the team that took Michigan to OT and it took JR's 440 yards passing, 6 TD's passing and a team high 78 yards rushing just to win? Harblow brought a 5th year QB from IA into cut down on Michigan's turnover problems and JR beat out TOP 100 4* QB Morris for the starting job.

you know so much for that vaunted defense of Michigan's that people brag about.

Before you rip on Michigan for barely beating Indiana you do realize they had a chance to score on final play to send the OSU game to overtime and Iowa held on to only win by 8 at Indiana by securing an onside kick. Plus Sparty was in a one score game half way through the 4th qtr. Indiana wasn't that bad last year had a great offense just had a brutal schedule and lost a lot of close games.

But man you never miss a chance to pimp out your boy Rudock do you. It must just irritate the living crap out of you that CJ was voted 2nd team all Big 10 by coaches and media and Rudock didn't even make 3rd team.

Since the thread's subject is about RB Eno Benjamin, I'll add a post about him, the subject rather than (IMHO) irrelevant who cares comments.

Posted on TOS, Benjamin has moved up his announcement date from May to April 18.

I can't imagine how pissed he must have been when he didn't get invited to the combine either. Freaking Jake Coker and Joel Stave got invited over him. CJ will assuredly be there next year.

I thought Indiana had a very very good team, it was some of you that claimed IA had a cupcake schedule,

as for CJ being 2nd team, to the victors goes the spoils, IA won the west and went 12-0, but don't get a big head as he benefited from a running where they did this,

Canzeri 240+ yards
Wadley 200+ yards
Daniels 150 and 194 yards
and Canzeri's 985 yards rushing

JR only had 2 games where a IA RB went over 100 yards rushing then the bowl game where Canzeri had 120 yards rushing on 12 carries and your great CJ went 13-23 145 yards 2 TD's 1 interception in Tennessee's end zone on a 1st down play and a fumble after getting a 1st down on Tennessee's 31 yard line, JR played 2 series in the 1st Quarter before CJ took over, you can have your 2nd coming of Christ as he FAILED to throw for over 100 yards TWICE the one against Nebraska was pathetic as they ended up with the 122nd rated pass defense with them giving up 288.2 ypg, if not for TO Tommy IA would have lost.

even the Wisconsin game the Defense bailed him out by recording 4 interception and 1 fumble recovery inside their own 2 yard line, to win the game,

its about time to styart giving credit to the run game and the defense for the wins IA had this season.

this years rush defense after the bowl games was 10th vs the run giving up 114.9 ypg vs the rush defense when JR was the QB. 56th giving up 158.8 ypg.

give JR that same defense this year and a run game that did what it did this year and JR would have done the same exact thing, maybe better in the BT Championship game. but hey keep worshipping at the Alter of your God CJ, MY only hope he improves 100% or else IA will not come close to a 12-0 record again. otherwise you will turn on him just as fast as you did JR,

CJ get WAY to much credit and JR gets WAY to much blame.

Wow. The guy who defends every Iowa player at all cost but hates probably the most popular guy on the team in support for a guy who quit the program instead of battling for his job. Ignore the fact from 7 straight weeks after the opener Rudock never threw for more than 200 yds or his costly interceptions to lose the Utah game. Every analyst who called Iowa games plus Kirk Ferentz felt CJ was the better choice but hey what do they know. Plus all the media and Big 10 coaches felt he was better, but again what do they know about Quarterback play.

Oh yeah the argument of give rudock iowas D he would have done better. Well Michigan D gave up fewer pts per game, 65 less passing yards and only one more yard a game rushing than Iowa's D.

Beathard was deserving of 2nd team. Had Barrett started the entire year he would have won it. Was Connor Cook really deserving of First Team All Big-Ten? He completed 56% of his passes.

Or did the Iowa running game benefit from having CJ as the QB?

didn't derail this thread and I am not a Michigan fan like SIG is. don't follow them at all so I don't read every article.
If you hadn't spewed so much stupidity.....people wouldn't have to constantly correct you...
Try doing some research before you post.

Why is everyone that corrects your crap, labeled as a fan of a different team? You do realize how dumb that sounds, correct?
People try to help you out continually. Maybe you should listen to them. Don't post, If you don't know....I'm sure members of this site would appreciate it if you started to follow this advice.

Wow....im not going to try to understand half of that. Punctuation, fella!!

JR is a cry baby and would have been throwing a tantrum if he took half the beating that CJ took.....period! He's half the man/leader CJ is! What is CJ or anyone else suppose to do when he gets little pass blocking from the line and is playing injured and unable to move freely??

Obviously a run game will help out the pass game....but to say running backs and good run blocking is better for a qb than good pass blocking, a 1st team all big ten TE, a 1st all big ten wr and another great receiver in Darboh. Yea, that makes sense....

Cook is way overrated....

You have to be freakin' kiddin. Iowa loses at Iowa State easily without Beathard. And that is just one example.

Beathard was not only a better scrambler he also was a better passer and actually made plays down the field.

CJ also had this quality called leadership that Rudock never did. At least not at Iowa. I'm not going to rag on Rudock, but c'mon, the difference is about as obvious as obvious gets. And I didn't even mention the intestinal fortitude that CJ showed playing hurt all year and having to throw to a receiving core that, by P5 conference standards at least, is below average.

Night and day, friend. Either you're related to Jake, best buddies, or are sippin' some strong Kool-Aid.

Since you didn't follow Michigan last year "at all", how in the world do you believe you are even qualified to speak on JR's performance last year?

However, I had watched a number of their games lat year. There is a reason JR wasn't invited to the combine. JR's numbers last year came from, IMO, the best receiving corps in the BIG. He was still check down Jake. Anytime he threw the ball more than 5 - 10 yards down the field, his receivers made huge play after huge play. Those throw most of the time were not on target and the receivers made amazing catches last year.

All Jake had to do last year was put the ball in the vicinity of the receiver and they were able to catch the ball. JR was overthrowing, under throwing and throwing behind the receivers all year. His throwing didn't improve after the Utah game. The receivers and the play calling adjusted. Kudos to the Michigan coaches for that.

I see he went retweet happy about anything Michigan. Don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing. Would be alright if he was just trolling them.

Meh... They are just commitments of other players. He also retweeted Ivory Kelly-Martins commitment to Iowa. I wouldn't look too much in to it.

This place is pretty pleasant when Kilroy is not around. Wish there was a way for them to do a Perma ban on him
