Erick All signs 4 year / $4,813,104 deal with the Cincinnati Bengals

Erick signed a 4 year, $4,813,104 contract with the Cincinnati Bengals, including a $793,104 signing bonus.

$793,104 of the $4,813,104 is guaranteed.

ALL just made more money than 1/4 or half of americans make in 20 years. I think he made the right decision. If he can hang on for 4 years his nearly 5 million dollars made will be way more than even some very good earning americans make in 30 years who are averaging $100,000 a year.

Here are videos of the low hits to Erick All, TJ Hockenson & Tyler Higbee (you have to click on the "watch on YouTube" link) that resulted in season ending ACL tears.

Note that the same player, #31 Kerby Joseph of the Detroit Lions, took out both TJ & Tyler.

Not only that but that much cash sooner is better. Time is the biggest and best lever there is if you can pull in the cash early on in life.

If he stays healthy, performs well and is smart with his $, he could be set for life, even if he never lands the huge guaranteed contract. Unfortunately, all 3 of those things are still big question marks, like they are for just about all professional athletes.

If he invested it well, he is very wealthy today.

More than I would have thought

Agreed!

And those low hits need to be addressed, imo.

TJ Hockenson's knee got torn apart by a similar hit.

TJ Hockenson had multiple knee ligaments injured (including a torn ACL and torn MCL) & could be out for the first 6 weeks of the season.

Since coming over to Minnesota in a trade with the Lions in October 2022, Hockenson ranks second among tight ends with 155 catches and 1,479 yards. Only Kansas City's Travis Kelce has more.

He's got the althleticism to stick around but he seems like another Tony Moeki....injury prone. Good for him if he has a long career.
