ESPN has repeatedly told us the SEC is the best Basketball Conference

Same. I hate the way that ESPN makes me root against the SEC by rooting for the ACC.

They had a strange season; 2/3 of the way through, they were looking pretty good - sitting at 15-7; then they collapsed losing 7 out of their last 9 (including their last 4) to go from looking like a tournament team to looking like they'd get passed over by the NIT...only to mow through the acc tournament (winning 5 games in 5 days) to get the conference automatic bid.

Their last four of the reg. season were @FSU, @UNC, Duke at home, @ Pitt (who should've gotten a bid). UNC and Duke were practically back-to-back. That'd be tough for any team.
