ESPN Predictions- Preseason vs. Now

Interesting to go through and see what's changed in the perceptions of all the "experts."

Some observations:
-Buddy Hield justifiably has POY predictions on lock.
-Didn't count it up, but it appears Fran is majority pick for COY.
-A LOT of Maryland (and even Michigan St) love for Final Four, but only two people believe in Iowa... Interesting.
-Almost everyone thinks B1G, Big 12, and ACC are represented in Final Four. Very little love for Big East.
-Ol' Dan Dakich still tooting his Indiana horn. lollll

I saw Dakich, and wondered if he submitted picks Saturday when he believed IU was the B1G's best. However, his job is to make people talk, and you don't do that choosing UNC, MSU, MD, etc.

You forgot the big shocker that Dickie V in the preseason had Duke, UNC and Kentucky as 3 of his Final 4 teams. Not like he ever talks about love affair of Duke and UNC ever. And as mentioned Dakich with Indiana. I needed a good laugh today and old Danny Dakich took care of that for me.

It is interesting that Iowa isn't getting more attention there, but Maryland is very talented and, frankly, riding Izzo's MSU teams deep in March is just about the closest thing to a sure bet as there is in the NCAA tournament.

What I find interesting about this Iowa team is the sheer number of quality wins they have and the fact that they have almost universally taken care of business against inferior opponents this year....generally by double-digits. This isn't a team coasting on a week schedule or one that only gives half-focus against bad teams, leading to unnecessary close scares. If Iowa continues to play consistent basketball, they're going to be a very tough out in March.

I would just like to honestly hear what the flaw is in Iowa that so many of them see and didn't pick the Hawks to be final four material, Not saying everyone should have picked Iowa, Just thought given Iowa's balance, SOS, Resume etc against very good competition that more would have picked them than did. I guess perhaps we just aren't a proven name brand.

Can't believe the continuing love for Kansas and Michigan State.

Not to beat the underdog, but this team has shown a soft side at times this year and I'm happy the pressure isn't building quite yet.

Interesting article. Surprised at all the love for a subpar (at least IMO) MSU team. Saw two people pick Iowa for the Final Four. Wow that would be incredible!! Watched North Carolina play and they didn't impress me either but they got a lot of picks for national champion. Kansas too. Its time for a NEW non blue blood school to win it.....
