Better how? Bay Area is just as expensive. Bowl pays participants less. Levi Stadium is in the middle of nowhere so you’d have to rent a car. Warmer? Perhaps but given our current weather patterns that’s not a given.
The last thing I wanted to see is Iowa go West unless it's the Rose or Holiday. We have a long history of playing like crap out there.
All that matters is trying to get a win and the good part is going here checks this off our list for the next 5 years barring something unforeseen.
Quite honestly I've grown tired to a degree of the 'bowl' scene and would rather see a minor playoff expansion and get rid of the bowls. If you are not in playoffs how important are any of these other exhibitions?

It’s not by any objective measure- some just like throwing rocks more than, we’ll, just about anything
