Ngl, seems pretty weird to me. But then again, I'll take weird wholesomeness attempts over the weird lefties taking their kids to drag/kink shows.

I took mini-mester summer course that covered Khan a good deal. Every time I think of GK I also think about how much a semester jammed into a month sucked ass.
I took a night class on the cuban missile crisis, and i had this group project with 3 others. Ginger, hot guy, hot girl, and me. The ginger really liked the hot girl, and we could tell. Especially if you have young kids involved. Studies have shown kids who grow up in single parent families have higher rates of alcoholism, drug use and emotional issues. Having both parents in their life is critical. Not only that, bailing out when problems come sets a horrible example for kids. They should see that you need to work to solve issues rather than just quitting .
Now cheating is a whole different animal, but even then an innocent spouse can show forgiveness of possible.
Another factor is couples don’t work hard enough to stay emotionally connected. Marriages don’t just work without some effort.
Long work hours, social media, porn, financial issues are all legitimate factors.
But in the end you need to make that decision to follow thru on your vows, even at the expense of your own wants.

It's a number of things. Obesity, lack of sex drive. No doubt in my mind that hormone imbalance in part from hormone based herbicides at work. Messes up men's drives and female emotions.

All of this can be done without being married.
My mom left our family when I was 4 1/2. The way she and my dad handled the situation was about as bad as it could possibly be handled. As a result, I didn't see her for 30 years and it was a subject that wasn't allowed to be talked about growing up. That situation affected just about every aspect of my life in terms of relationships, communication, honesty, trust, etc. If wifey and I split, we would both be a huge part of the lives of our kids, that much is certain.

My first wife and I were young and naive when we got married at 25. Just thought we would get married and start popping out babies within a few years. After seven years of that not happening, we started fertility, just about every kind along the way. After another five and a half years of that not working, we were done in about every way. We had a lot of fun during those years, but the rollercoaster of high hopes, major disappointments further complicated by past trauma was just too much. We still talk and probably communicate better now than we did when we were married. Some things you just are not prepared for and it's too late by the time you figure that out.
Statistically, divorce rates bottomed out at the lowest in 40 years in 2022 and were only slightly up in 2023, so not sure why everyone thinks that this is about younger generations not being resilient. That is just another "get off my lawn" myth.

A lot of it I think is setting expectations right from the start. For example, I'm the man of the house, at least until my wife gets home. I do whatever I want, whenever I want, as long as she says I can. I told her the sooner she figures out who's boss in our house, the sooner she can give me my orders. She knows I have certain needs, but they aren't that important. A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do and I'm going to do what she tells me to.
I need to post better. 3 different married couples. 1 man was cheating, 1 woman was cheating, the third, the male was phone and internet cheating with a fake person. None of the three couples know each other.

Definitely a lot of folks I know. I was one of them 4 years ago after 19 years of marriage. Thing is neither of us were in love with each other and had not been for a long time. It was the kids who kept us together and as first one graduated from high school, it happened. Often that is the true timing behind it all, not mid life crisis nor infidelity but a realization the kids are old enough to handle it and life is way to short to be miserable. My dad ran a high-school here for 25 years said they saw it all the time with parents as first or last kid graduated.
