Yes. I would say 1/2 of my wife’s book group is comprised of people divorced. when the book group began about 7 years ago, I don’t believe any were divorced. We’re 49. I would say all of them were right move. All of the guys were douches, except one who was a huge alcoholic, who I actually liked. Conversely, none of my long time friends - except one I met in college - have divorced parents or are divorced. Same goes for my wife when it comes to friends from her hometown, except one, who is now happily remarried and never had kids with her first husband, who was a fookin’ weirdo. It is quite remarkable, statistically speaking.

A lot of unhappy couples and infidelity with the married people we know/knew. If they werent late 30s very early 40s with young kids rhet are all probably divorced. We won't hang around people like that so our friends group has got really small the past 3-4 years. Cheaters are SOTE, if they will do that to their wide and kids they will stab you in the back first chance they get. I cut them out of my life immediately.

Addiction to porn and easy access to low tier content/hook up apps is killing relationships. I think the effects of birth control on women's partner selection has also not been studied enough, though there is evidence to suggest that when some women get off birth control they lose all attraction to their spouse/significant other.

In general I'd say the cultural decay of the west is impaling relationships as it is all things.

My wife (no pic) and I are working hard to save ours, not sure how it's going to turn out, but we're trying. This is my second marriage and although I never thought I would remarry, we married 9 1/2 years ago and have been together 15+. We have young kids, but that won't stop us from splitting if both of our needs can't/won't be met. Life is too short.

I'd like to renew my call for a divorce registry. Let's just peel back the layers and adjudicate fault.

Make it public so that when these people are out in the wild searching for their next victim, people can access a public registry and see what type of person they are.

Throw in a divorce tax of some sort.

Congrats on your last beej anniversary.

If the fists won't work the divorce tax will.

I mean statistically it makes sense. Very few people have had his kids I'm going to assume. Unless he's like Genghis Kahn or something. Is he like Genghis Kahn?

I missed this but is impressive HROT/HORT/GIAHORT contribution

It was actually for his son. I don't want to make him look like a bad guy.

Addiction to porn caused such a strain in speaker Mike Johnson's relationship, he started a porn accountability group with his young son. Sounds like strides have been made and he and his son only watch some porn now.
