Excellent article by Andrew Sullivan on why, despite some of the ding dongs

I’m an unpaid volunteer………

you, and others like you, are the only thing that keep me motivated to stay around.
Well, what are the requirements for moderating? I’d leave HROT alone unless doxing is an issue. And guarantee my resume is more impressive than yours.

Pretty simple…..

1. watch the language
2. No personal attacks or calling out other posters
3. Treat people like you want to be treated and with respect.

unfortunately, you violate every rule we have.

I didn’t see the attempts to overturn the election as a serious threat. I do see ballot harvesting and mail in voting in the manner that Dems wish to implant as a serious threat. Also, I’d consider consider fraud more broadly in this light. I think the time magazine article highlights some of it. But, I see the Clinton funded misinformation and subsequent Russian investigation, the propping up of Michael Avenatti, blm George floyd riots and media and politician reactions and role, the kavanaugh situation, and more recently the dhs and Biden admin collaboration to moderate content in social media as perpetuating a narrative fraud, which has influenced voting.
You're full MAGA cult. Disgusting.

We are talking beyond Iowa.
Why? State's are responsible for their voting regulations......Shirley you don't want the Feds to establish the rules?
My rant is against the Iowa Legislature. Actually, it is against the REPUBLICAN controlled Iowa Legislature. Republicans seem to know what is best for everyone else.....They hate "central control" unless they are one's who control it!

I don’t want the feds to establish the rules. But the fed Dems did attempt to do so.

Name another country that you would actually want to live in that is to the right of the United States.
Left and right mean different things in different countries. Depending on circumstance, there are many places I could live. I choose to live in the us currently. Would be easy enough to move.

You didn’t see the objections to states being certified as serious? You didn’t see Trump straight out asking the Georgia Secretary of State to “find some votes” as serious? Hell, the only thing that could have been more serious was getting a group of people to attack Congress in an effort to stop them from certifying the election. Oh, wait, that happened also.

No. We’ve seen this many times relative to discussions of not certifying or electors going against the vote. I saw trump as a sore loser who would have been happy with cheating to win. He didn’t succeed. He wasn’t close to success. He did not orchestrate an attack on Congress. The republic was not in danger. We’ve had many sore loser politicians. Hanging chads, anyone? Or “Russian collusion” and the multi year temper tantrum from the left. That said, I wouldn’t be surprised at all that rampant fraud exists in our current election system.

i know many people who voted for Biden thinking that the admin would be more moderate and status quo. I considered it. But I voted third party. I did not believe Biden would gov toward the center. Indeed, Biden admin has pushed us much further left. This is fact. The Dems have not governed responsibly. And, they’ve also financially supported right wing nut types. They did this in 2016 too. Kid gloves on trump until primary over. The Dems are not a viable alternative. I see there’s big problems in the gop side too. When trump won in 2016 I saw it as potentially fatal to the gop. I still think it might be. I do not feel well represented by either party. It’s incredibly frustrating. We shall see.

Knowing what we know now about how this information was acquired, what do you think of this? To me, what we are seeing is same programming, different channel. Just different attempts to soil an election for the other party.
the democrats do not have the moral high ground.

Did a January 6 happen in 2017?

I post an npr article and you scream maga qanon. You are what’s wrong with the populace.
Because you continue to spout QAnon/MAGA bullshit. What's wrong right now is there are too few people calling it out and too many gullible dupes lapping up the lies and misinformation.

Did my post use the word “significant”?
No it didn’t.

Stick to these 🤣🤣
Then why bring it up if it's insignificant? Fact is, you and the rest of the far right know it's insignificant but you prop it up like it's happening all over the place. It's a lie that you help perpetuate because, well, you're a republican.

Like a lot of right wingers, when asked the question directly you will say no and then turn around and vote for the candidates who support those same policies.
But, those politics are often misconstrued or argued disingenuously.

That's another bullshit answer. There's nothing to misconstrue about the attempts state lawmakers are making to be able to overturn an election just as there's not for Trump asking for 11000 votes or filing dozens of lawsuits. You want to poo-poo these activities because if they work they will benefit your side. That's all the republicans care about, power for the party. No effort going toward what's best for America.

But I argued in favor of neither of those.

Nonsense. I only respond to people who violate those rules against me- and I do so in a much more effective manner than them.

It’s not an either or thing.
And NO amount of fraud should be waved away as insignificant.

It actually is. Either it's been a significant problem that needs to be addressed or it's not. And it's not.

You lap up the lies and propaganda just like the rest of your MAGA brethren.
