From most accounts, Hesse tallied the largest number of "disruption" numbers during camp. Given what we saw from Nelson against Miami ... that tells me that the guys on the DL really have worked a ton on pass rush.

It will be awesome to see a healthy Hesse play more snaps as the season unfolds. We'll need to have all that disruption!

As an intriguing morsel .... through essentially 10 games of starts and a 14 game season, probably a year before he should have seen so much action ... Hesse played strong against the run, but still just managed TWO sacks.

Through 1 game this year ... Anthony Nelson already has 2.5 sacks! Wow! What will we see from Hesse and A. Nelson when they're on the field at the same time? Particularly on more obvious passing situations? I'm excited!!!

Good points and a false start penalty took away another potential sack IIRC. Had some good moves and solid leverage, I like what I see! Maybe another Ott? And, he's still getting bigger and stronger, Hesse has really filled out.

Another fun-fact ... in his first year as a full time starter in 2013, Drew Ott managed 2.5 sacks through the whole 13 game season. He was exceptionally active and played well ... but we relied more upon LB penetration to get more of our sacks that season.

I'll be excited to see how Anthony Nelson handles every-down responsibilities ... while still trying to tee-off on the QB every once in a while.
