F9 (Fast & Furious 9) - With Spoilers

Saw it with the wife [pics in buried thread] last night.

Spoiler: F9 Spoilers Ahead

Typically we get to see one, may two, insane and unbelievable things with cars each film, but this one--holy crap, they'll have to drive cars to Mars in F10 to top the insanity of this one. Personally, I like seeing the unbelievable in this series, but they definitely went overboard on this one. Cars in Space (although a Pontiac Fiero in space is hilarious), but cars in space? #facepalm

Right now it's sitting at 60% fresh from critics and 84% thumbs up from fans on the Tomato Meter. Of course, I give it a thumbs up because I'm a sucker for these brain-numbing movies. Also, let's discuss the magnets. Super fun concept, but every time Dom and Letty engaged them, shouldn't they have crushed their own cars too?

Yup...I assume that's a set-up for the next Hobbs & Shaw, not a lead-in to F10. Hobbs & Shaw releases are supposed to alternate until the canon Fast Series ends with F10. I also assume they'll bring back Paul's brother for another CGI stand-in-tribute to Brian in the final installment since they're clearly keeping him alive in the series.

I hope it's brief and just ties up the end of his story. Perhaps he dies saving his son's life and if they need to extend it further just add his son as a character to pay him tribute.

The GTR is one of my favorite cars. I was surprised they had it come in at the end the way they did.
