I'm not sure why people like this post. I'm a small business owner and I have no idea if we will be able to survive these tariffs. As most would know, I'm adamantly opposed to Trump as are a lot of other small business owners.

I too would have liked more “surgical” tariffs; however, it appears Trumps “long game” may be working. Just glad I didn’t make any hasty decisions with my 401K. 🥴Smart people made reasonable arguments that surgical strike tariffs in the right amount on the right countries could be in the strategic interest of america. The scramble drill is horrible for business. The tariffs are bad for business. Sorry I cannot root for these moves. I have been consistent on this since he suggested these types of moves last summer.
I will give the admin credit for at least backing down partially. That was a move in the right direction and I’m surprised he did it to be honest - to our exchange this morning I didn’t think he had it in him to find a way partially out of his massive mistake (I would still love your take on his narcissism/sociopathy). So kudos to Trump for going from massive dumbass to just a big dumbass. Progress!
You won’t find me calling him a pussy for backing down and you won’t find me celebrating either because I still think where we are now is a big mistake.

You state this like the tariffs remaining are a positive for the economy. They will still cause inflation and job losses - even more than they might otherwise because of the unpredictability regarding what will happen tomroow, 90 days or next year. There are countless business people talking about the hits they are taking and the outlook being awful. Consumer confidence has cratered. There is nothing about what has happened that is good for the economy or the country.
But you, being the numpty you are, continue to buy what Trump says hook, line and sinker. SMFH
The investments are NOT coming in.
No CEO is making long-term multi-million dollar decisions on the whims of an idiot, who can reverse the tariffs and make all that money effectively wasted in a day.
