My brother lives in Lincoln with his family, and he just texted me saying there was a barfight between Nebraska fans arguing over their struggles. And he also heard that the high school daughter of an Iowa fan who lives in Lincoln had her car windows smashed in from angry Nebraska fans as they were running around the neighborhood.

I hope these are just isolated incidents, because there are much more important things in life. Go Hawks.

I live in Corvallis, OR. The 4th lowest crime rate in the PNW, and we have bar fights between drunk people all the time.

Young idiots combined with alcohol never ends well. It's possible they're just isolated incidents, in a college town on a game night, but I suspect they are early symptoms of a much worse, more widespread, and far longer lasting problem that's festering there. The thing that's making it worse is the absolute refusal to accept anything less than national championships every year. It's starting to become a real psychological phenomena, because it appears that many of them are totally delusional and don't interpret reality correctly, because they truly believe that if they keep firing coaches, then they'll eventually get a coach to bring them a NC.
