Fans turn violent in Lincoln

Alberts is a lot of things but he is no dummy. He knows that UNL is a dumpster fire with no way of putting the flames out and he would be in way over his head. The football issues there aren't going to be fixed, it's seriously over for the Huskers. No way anybody is going to meet the unrealistic expectations of the fan base. Until that changes that place will be toxic.

UNO probably is a better place. UNL currently only has one sport that's worth a crap..UNO has hockey and probably the 2nd best basketball program in the state now. Plus, he doesn't have to live in Lincoln, which should be anyone's number 1 deterrent.

Question, How many head coaches does it take to coach a Nebraska football team? answer, 11. 1 is current head coach and other ten is still getting paid! LOL
Iowa message board fans are universally known as the worst in college football. Must suck to hate a team so much and yet currently be under them in the B1G standings, have a worse average divisional finish since they joined the B1G and be worse in total defense and total offense this season. I’d say for all the huskers coaching issues and coaching turnover they have been better than Iowa since 2011.

40 to 10. Guess I look at head to head scores to see which team is better. Also, Iowa mods are veeerrryyyy forgiving (few bans) compared to Nebby mods.
You don't know what Nebraska fans he knows so you have no idea whether what he's saying is "patently false". He sounds pretty spot on to me. Nice disguise as an Illinois fan.
Does this Nebby board remind you of anything? I think it reminds me of the Iowa fan base that has become so spoiled that we aren't happy and want the coaching staff fired if we don't have double figure win seasons and contend for BIG Championships every year. Lets face it as the years have went buy Iowa fans have become more like the Nebraska's. The only thing I can think of that would make it worse is if the AD would follow the fans wishes and start fishing for new coaches every few years trying to catch lightning in a bottle. I can remember doing just that for 17 miserable years.
To be clear, I didn't say, mean, or imply that ALL Nebraska fans were causing trouble, or even many. I was referring to the few I mentioned, and I stress few (I left open the possibility they were isolated incidents). Sure, I got a little chuckle from the news; I admit my guilt.

I thought people might get a little chuckle, but if I had known it would lure out people's darkest sides, I never would have shared it. As I also said in my post, there are more important things in life. Life's too short to hate people. I'm sure there are plenty of drunkards at every university including Iowa that cause trouble. I urge everyone to reconcile and move on.

Exactly ... Lincoln is no different than any other college town .. People drinking too much, fighting, etc. There are aholes in every town across America ...
If were talking about Wisky, I don't really understand your comment. Our series with them is almost a dead heat with them both historically and as of late. Almost every game is a one score finish with little home field advantage.
My comment is based purely on what I have seen this year. PSU carved us up on the ground. Connie is more determined in the run game than any of program I can think of, so I expect them to carve us up on the ground as well. Just like they ran the ball down Nebby's throat. But I've been wrong before.
While the frosh for Wisky is a very good player, he doesn't present nearly the versatility and multiple issues that Barkley did. And for all the yards we gave up to PSU, we held them to far below their normal offensive output when it came to points scored. If we can play that kind of game against Wisky and OSU, I don't care how many yards they'll have. Just hope that we can finish on top in the final score.
I expect to lose to both of those teams. I expect to give up a lot of yards on the ground to Connie.
I expect Iowa to score alot of points on Wisconsin. Watched them play UN and that is not the 3-4 defense from past years. Plus our safety play us much improved from the PSU game.
Who'd take a HC job...knowing that 9-10 wins was the expectation... in a place that's not easy to recruit to.
Every year there are Hawk fans that underestimate Wisconsin......and yet, they do nothing but win consistently.
Wow. Who said that? I was responding to a poster who made it sound like we have no chance. Two evenly matched similar programs. Go back and look at scores the past 10 or even 20 years.
