Favorite BTN analyst

Jess Settles, of course.

In all reality, I enjoy most of the BTN analysts, and they all know and understand all the teams in the conference. Bardo is probably my non-homer pick, but I will take any BTN crew over most of the ESPN crews. Most especially, if Iowa never again plays on ESPNU with a Z team who knows nothing about them, I will be forever grateful.

If we're talking about guys who basically only work for BTN then other than Jess Settles, its gotta be Shawn Morris.

He's not full of himself and is knowledgeable. Not afraid to get a little excited about good plays or call out bad plays or what he sees as dirty stuff on the court.

The only problem is he only seems to work Nebraska home games this season. Which, ugh.

Homer pick - Jess Settles. Just like his down to earth style. Guy coming off the farm to go talk Basketball. I like that. He doesn't take himself too seriously either.

Tim Miles was a great addition to BTN. He has an interesting perspective, isn’t afraid to laugh at himself and seems to genuinely enjoy what he does. I’m sure it must almost feel like a vacation coming from coaching and the stress involved with that.

Bardo.

Miles was as always upbeat and entertaining too.

Don't dislike Morris but he is way too much Xs and Os for me. A little of that is good but there are other perspectives to the game as well.

Hummel is another really good one....... until the game is out of reach one way or another, and he starts going off on tangents, with help from his PBP partner. (him, paired with Benetti on ESPN games, are famous for this)

i dont dislike hummel but i lost some respect for him at the end of the ohio st vs michigan st game . ohio st wanted to throw a full court pass at the end of the game , i think they were down 3 . they had a guy at their freethrow line with a michigan st player standing behind him not allowing him to back up . after the ball is thrown OB the ohio st coach throws a tantrum and gets tossed i think . after another 30 seconds or so hummel starts going on and on about freedom of movement and how they missed the call . that is not what freedom of movement is all about . sad that he would talk about a rule he did not understand .
