The section of the criminal code being explored is known as "statements or entries generally," and can be applied when an individual makes misleading or false statements causing federal agents to expend additional resources and time. In this case, legal experts as well as a former FBI agent said, Section 1001 could apply if Clinton, her aides or attorney were not forthcoming with FBI agents about her emails, classification and whether only non-government records were destroyed. It is not publicly known who may have been interviewed.

Fox News judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano said the same section got Martha Stewart in trouble with the FBI. To be a violation, the statements do not need to be given under oath.

Yawn. Wake me when you guys ever actually find anything on her.
The problem you are ignoring is it not "you guys" doing the investigation, it's the FBI. They have broadened an investigation they do we're doing. It seems to me an investigation that is broadened means there is a trail to be followed

The FBI will not pretend that Hillary or her cohorts always
told the truth. If there are some lies, then somebody will
be punished.

I appreciate the fact that the FBI is trying to do as thorough a job as possible, but in the words of the FBI's own Director, James Comey, "We don’t talk about our investigations while we’re doing them," which means that nobody outside the FBI knows anything about their investigation. To pretend that you, or anyone for that matter, does is pure speculation. If Hillary is found guilty of anything, she should be punished accordingly. But until the FBI concludes their investigation, we have no choice but to wait of the results. You guys are jumping the gun by a rather large margin here.

Obama isn't going to let the FBI charge her with anything, anyway. This is all a show.

Scooter Libby was convicted of a felony for much less than Hillary has done.
Not even close. Scooter's crime was exposing the identity of a covert CIA agent in retribution against said agent's criticisms over the Iraq War. While Hillary's alleged crime, in which she hasn't even been charged with anything yet, was that she didn't follow proper email protocol. But I suspect that you can see the difference.

Valerie Plame is now on the lecture circuit. She spoke at Embry Riddle the other day. Book signing after the talk, of course.

You are wrong. Scooter Libby did not reveal Plane's status as a CIA agent, Richard Armitage did. You are a lib so I expect you to have your facts wrong and I'll give you a pass.
