With Langenberg, Brecht, and Morgan the Hawkeyes have the potential to have the best 3 man rotation in the Big Ten. Fingers crossed that Morgan and Brecht have figured out their control issues.

Morgan being the Sunday starter was surprising . . . I don't know what to think. I'm hoping it is because Morgan has made huge advancements with his control as opposed to Voelker being either (a) injured or (b) performing poorly.

Hawks off to a great start with Frazier getting a huge 2 out double to drive in 2 runs. This should help Brecht settle in and keep mowing them down.

Remember Morgan started in the rotation last season. The guy has good stuff if he can harness it.

But it's great we are even debating this, having a 4th starter in the wings is great depth and comes in handy come tournament time.

Brecht was shut down, good decision being at 68 pitches in the first start of the season.

Voelker comes in for the 6th inning.

Brecht pitches a perfect 5 innings.

Voelker just struck out the side in 17 pitches.

Finish this off Hawks! Need 3 runs to shut this game down.

Hawkeyes emptying the bench now instead of going for the kill. I'm out, got stuff to do.
