Ferentz let down game?

This thread is full of interesting points. But let's be honest...it's the Gophers. It's a trophy game. They've played us tough many times when it appeared they had no business doing so. And it's college football played by a bunch of 18-23 year olds. ANYTHING can happen. And anyone who is sitting here and honestly says they haven't had at least one fleeting Admiral Akbar moment in their thoughts leading up to this game is likely a liar. That having been said...this is why it's so much fun. The rivalries. The intensity. The unpredictability. The anticipation. It's gonna be a great weekend, no matter what. But of course it'll be extra super happy fun time great if the Hawks win! :D

I know I will get criticized, but is anybody worried about a "let down" game from Ferentz & company? It seems par for the course during a season that a KF team struggles/loses to a team they should not. I would hate for it to be under the lights at kinnick, but you never know? Minnesota will definitely be motivated by a lot of factors. If you ask me, Iowa has played better on the road than at home. I would HATE to lose to Minnesota, but I have a feeling that we will see a stingy Minnesota D.

You post something like this every single week. Indiana had a good week of practice last week, should we be worried? Now do we need to be worried about a Ferentz let down game? NOPE! Just... R-E-L-A-X

Maybe with the "old Kirk", but not with the "new Kirk".......hold good thoughts!!

I like to think we will see a team with a goal in mind and they will be bringing focus and determination to each game. But then again, I am an eternal optimist by nature.

The goal...

FREE THE PIG!!

The Hawks want Floyd back.

Count me as another gloom and doom guy who is feeling good about this game.

I don't predict many games, and rarely predict a Hawk win. Why? Because with few exceptions, whenever I predict a Hawk win they lose.....Western Michigan, Central Michigan, Northwestern a couple of times....

So, even though I "feel good" about this game I will stop short of making a prediction. Not gonna tempt fate.

If it makes you feel better (and even if it doesn't) most "experts" have picked against Iowa every game. They haven't affected the outcome. You can't either.

The OP must be doing this on purpose now so whatever. That said, I am nervous about every game from here on out. Especially at Nebraska.

If you would've said the Minnesota O, you might've been a little more accurate.

Thanks for playing though. ;)
