I think they want to stick with the theme thus far and try and make teams prepare for anything and everything as well as keep fans guessing. It also creates media buzz as it goes entirely against the reputation.

I don't know if we'll onside kick but if we get a look we want, we should do it.

Actually I would love to see it I just hope it's not late in the 4th quarter

I have no clue about whether or not we might attempt an onside kick but I agree with the OP that we will continue the trend of keeping the opponent off balance as to what to expect I had a guy from work yesterday a Nebraska fan tell me that Sirus Radio has really talked up the Hawks this week. That seems encouraging to say the least- we have people noticing how we have played so far.

It will really be ironical if CJ ends up saving KF's job when KF wouldn't give him much of a chance his first two years.

Agree completely. Hope CJ has an incredible year. Too bad he's so damn stubborn and you would hope the other coaches would notice and not be yes men.

CJ seems the centerpiece of the improvement on the field we have seen but at the end of the day Kirk himself will end up reviving the program and saving himself from leaving Iowa on negative terms. I criticized KF as much as anybody back when I used to post more frequently here but let's give credit where it seems due. Kirk decisively went with Beathard as the starter in the offseason which started a whole chain of events and the positive start we have seen to the start of the season. We have more going on than just having the right quarterback on the field.

Never thought about this but it would really be ironic. Might be exactly how it works out too. Maybe kf has finally seen the light also, you would hope anyway.

I think they'll fake punt before onside.

I'm optimistic enough about the current state of affairs that I don't think we'll need to resort to trickery in tonight's game.

However, I do agree with you that, if we are to see another trick play on ST, then it will be a fake punt if Koehn is the punter. Koehn is fast and has among the strongest arms on the team, believe it or not. No way we'd try a fake punt with Kidd, IMO.

But didn't you hear. KF did this because message board posters forced him to. Can't make this stuff up. I've read some woppers in my time but that one was the biggest a week ago.

The real truth in all of this. KF made the decision to replace a 2 years starter with CJ. KF recruited these players. KF is coaching this team.

Some posters seem to want a participation ribbon for the new success of the team. If we have a loss this season, they will go back to giving KF full credit.

And no I don't think KF is a great coach.
