I am in awe at how some kids don't have a clue on fight songs. Maybe I am just overreacting, but when I grew up (and still to this day), when I heard a fight song, I knew which school's song that was instantaneously. Maybe not every school in the country, but there are quite a few whose band and fight songs are iconic, associated with the program itself.
The other day, I picked these 10 schools as ones I would think most kids who are college football fans here in the midwest would know. The boys were from Omaha. Unbelievably, the only one they got right was Nebraska...and even then, only about half of them got it right!!
The 10 schools I picked were: Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan(still the best one), ohio st., Penn St., Oklahoma, Texas, USC, and Notre Dame. Not one kid knew one of those songs.
Am I the only who found it incredible that these kids who watch college football so passionately for years can't identify any college fight songs?
