Filip Rebraca Deserves Some Type of Award

He is really starting to flourish as a garbage man when needed... Dont forget this guy averaged almost 17 a game before transferring to Iowa.

I can't recall a performance that rivaled his from a guy not named Luka or Keegan in quite a while. He went beast mode from the opening tip to the final buzzer. He showed an extremely high hoops IQ by recognizing the trap and passing out of it to open shooters.

Not sure what ... but the guy has become an absolute beast on the hardwood.

"Most Improved Player"
"Best 'Small' Big"
"Best Under the Radar Player"
The "I did not know he was that good" Award
The "Don't Underestimate a Serb" Trophy

Help me out here.

This award will do.

With Kris out, this will allow others to step up and shine. Last night was Filip’s night.

That was pretty great game planning by Fran.

They almost never give Rebraca the ball at the freethrow line like thst but isu took the bait and tried to swarm him right in the middle of the floor where all passing options are open.

You should never try to double right in the middle like that but they couldn't help themselves.

Fran out smarted TJ there.

Filip just outworked the Cyclones. His intensity set the tone. The entire team had an effort level we haven’t seen in a long time.

I’m nervous about Sunday, as 3 high level games in a week with a short bench and missing Kris will make for a tough W. After last night I can’t count them out, but certainly it’s a perfect set up for a let down after a big rivalry win.

Hopefully Payton and Bowen bring their best as we need their scoring on the floor for extended minutes.
