The child screaming doesn’t bother me, poor parenting bothers me, but you do you man. I don’t know how any family ever ate out before iPads/phones, there must have been screaming children everywhere. 🙄

IMHO, yes it is. It shows a lack of discipline or willingness to entertain your child.
In our family, meal time is family time, no electronics allowed at a restaurant or at home. It’s just a generational thing. I know I probably sound like an old man yelling at a cloud to you, but I stand behind my opinion.
