Connor got hurt or had two fouls and Perkins/Uhlis saved the day. Remember everyone thought if Connor were still in the game, we would have lost?

Fran needs to get his head out of his NEPOTISM a$$ and bench his son for guards who can drive and kick and play defense! If he plays another 30 minutes chalk it up as another home loss.

I didn’t know I was in a spelling contest. But I know how to your mama’s name, Skank Ho.

Good one! Is English your second language? “I know how to your mama’s name”. Lol

That @Rutgers game where Perkins saved the day? 6 minutes, 0-1 fg, 0 reb, 0 assists, 1 TO, 1-2 FT, 1 point. That game? You at least spelled his name correctly. Pretty hard to take you seriously in a basketball discussion when you don’t even know the player’s names. Stick to the mama jokes and leave the basketball discussion to the adults.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Did you even watch the game?

What do you have against CMac? You sound as if he stole your girlfriend.

CM played 3:10 according to box score on Hawkeyesports.com Ulis played roughly 15 minutes, Perkins played 5, and it was Ke.'s coming out party.

I think he needs to focus on his strength, baseball.

It was Ulis and Murray that came in and played very solid minutes. Connor sat out a lot that game and the team had no energy and crappy defense until they came in.

I have nothing personal against Connor. I like his toughness and playing a few minutes, but he wouldn’t start on any other BIG team with exception to Nebraska. If you think he is better than Toussaint, Ulis or Perkins then you’re clearly a McCaffrey relative.

Rutgers went on to lose their next four games by an average of 12 points.

Keegan did have a solid game at Rutgers.

No relation to the McCafferys, but not blinded by bias as you seem to be. Connor was injured in the first 3 minutes. If you'd watched the game you might have remembered. Iowa struggled without him.

I watch every single game! They didn’t struggle because Connor was out. Most of the starters were playing like crap that day, so Fran took them out and played Murray, Ulis and other backups who brought more energy, better defense, and a spark. Murray is much better at the 4 than Connor and Ulis was much better than Bohannon at point guard that day, when he wasn’t making many threes.

I’m not totally in love with Connor, but I also remember that as the game where almost literally nobody could make a post entry pass after Connor was out. CMac does give you some things on the court.

If this board is going to devolve into vitriol and name calling as the season goes on, it will be a tough place to visit.

Maybe that day he was on . He’s been off lately. Throwing away lots of entry passes or stolen...I would guess his lack of confidence in his shooting is starting to spill into other areas of his game ?

He’s had some bad play, but he has years of history of being an excellent post passer. There is absolutely no question that it’s the best part of his game.

CMac is second in the country in A/TO ratio (4.81) this year. He had foul trouble against IN or he would have had more than 1 assist. Otherwise, he has done fine, better than 3/1 A/T ratio in the past 5 games. If CJ were on the floor, that would be higher.

Of course the assist to Turnover rate looks good because if Garza is not triple teamed he will usually make the shot/layup.

I’ll bet Ulis/Toussaint would have better assist numbers if either played as many minutes as Connor. Toussaint would have more turnovers but better offense and much better defense.

Ulis wouldn’t turn the ball over a lot, plays great defense and is a true point guard. I’ve seen enough of him to recognize his talent and potential.
