Five fingers hand in the face

Seriously? She was mocking the gesture Clark made in a game after she made an UNGUARDED three. It means you can't see me. You can't guard me. What Reese did was without question the worst display of poor sportsmanship in history. She did it at the free throw line, and then after the buzzer she chased er around the court as Clark tried three times to turn away from her, and then kept stepping back in front of her to basically give her the middle finger yet again. Burn in Hell Angel (as if) Reese. We knew what would happen if they won, that they would show total disrespect to Iowa, and of course Reese didn't let us down.

My question is, is there a media person out there in the presser who will have the BALLS to ask her just what in the hell that was supposed to be. I'd love to hear have to explain a tape of that shit. If course I won't hold my breath....
They asked Caitlin so they better

NAH, if Caitlin did it at all she got what was coming in my view
Caitlin "did it" in a game in Seattle, against Louisville, while walking back to the bench after Waltz called a TO. Her and Van Lith, the Louisville player were talking all game long. This game was played last month.

Today, in Dallas, Angel Reese, who plays for a completely different team, and who had nothing to do with the Clark/Van Lith chatter, decided she should "do it" back to Caitlin. Reese started her display with seconds left in the game while standing next to Clark at the free throw lane. Her hand waving was inches away from Caitlin's face. Clark turned away and ignored her.

Seconds later the clock expired, and Reese continued chasing after Caitlin to "do it", circling around her as Clark was walking off the floor, towards her team, to line up in the congratulatory handshake line. The game was over, LSU won the National Championship.

Debate all you care to about in-game smack, officiating, awards, records, or individual player accolades.

I had a very good seat both in Seattle and Dallas. I've experienced about everything having been in and around the sport for 50 years.

The lack of sportsmanship and class Angel Reese displayed as the leader of a National Champion team is beyond embarrassment to Women's basketball.

Congratulations to LSU, you won the game and are National Champions.

Exactly right.

Some folks on this board find this extremely difficult to comprehend. Don’t waste any more of your time trying to clarify for them. It’s a lost cause.

I don't believe CC called the L'ville girl a hoe, however.

Reese is a PoS. Not surprised playing for Mulkey.
JFC with this.....yes AFTER Van Lith originally did it. Did any of you that keep posting this stupid shit actually watch the Louisville game. I mean FFS Van Lith did it twice before Clark got fed up.
I just answered a question. Lighten up douche.

I’m sooo embarrassed for the black communities’ reactions to this as an American.

Feel horrible for Clark to have trashy la trash put her in the spotlight for no reason.

I’m definitely guilty of hating on the whites for no reason.

Now I feel horrible for my past comments/reactions toward white people. For no reason really.

Ugh. 1 black trasher has me back peddling my whole life/morals. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Clark did not do it “to” a girl. she did it walking off the court and to the huddle during a time out. major difference doing it right to someone’s face not once but twice. game was over…total lack of class by Reece.
Sorry. You are truly talking semantics. How about the wave of the hand to the USC athlete she refused to guard. I said after that game that if someone did something like that to an Iowa player this board would be up in arms. Guess what? I was right. You all seem to believe that whatever my player does is ok. Whatever their player does is a felony. I think Reece is an idiot for doing it, but this board is showing the same level of itelligence.

I'm sure Caitlin did her fair share of talking during the game but she just won a national championship and all she can think about is taunting a player from another team. I think this says a lot more about Reese and her value as a teammate than it does about anything else.
My mother taught me to a “good winner” was every bit as important as being a good loser. Some girls were never taught this lesson.

I was never a Yankee or Mick fan but did you know that when the Mick hit a home run (and he hit a few of them in his career) he intentionally looked at the ground as he rounded the bases so as to NEVER “show up” or embarrass the pitcher he victimized.
Boyz.....the world has changed and not necessarily for the best.

Thank you Keith. Spread the word. They won, and good for them. They deserved to the win the game. BUT Reese should be called to the carpet for this type of poor sportsmanship, and baiting. In a mens game a fight would probably have been the last 30 seconds of this game, and we've seen it before. Is that the ending the NCAA wants for their championship game?have seen a number of videos of LSU players losing their composure and physical altercations developing. if tables had been reversed Reeses most likely does not ignore the ”in your face” taunting like Clark did.

ok, let’s talk semantics. you can’t taunt someone when you are only doing it to your team as you walk to the bench. it’s not taunting when you encourage a player to just take the shot. it is taunting and an automatic technical when you do it directly to and at another player…..it was done not once but continually with nothing called by the officials. check u-tube there half a dozen videos showing her getting technicals for taunting. personally I’m old school and do not like any of it but if you can’t see the difference here it’s because you are blind or you just don’t want to.

I guess I'm old school. I coached both women's and men's college volleyball, as well as HS girls VB. I wish all athletes - female and male, and in all sports at all levels - would just play the game and let their game speak for itself. This includes Clark and her "you can't see me" gesture and waving off the S. Carolina perimeter player. If I could speak to CC, I'd remind her she's the best player in the game and millions of kids look up to her. Teach them thru your actions to respect your opponents and the game by just playing the game.

I taught my players to celebrate with your teammates when it's going well, without disrespecting your opponent. After the game, congratulate your opponent on playing hard, regardless of win or loss. If there was something a player did really well, such as great defense, passing, etc., say something specific about that in the handshake line. Our goal was for opponents to fear us, not hate us. And we won a lot (all three college teams I coached were consistently nationally ranked). You can, and should, win with class.

Funny
Really what I was saying after i asked what the gesture mean and replied with" paybacks are hell"
Bad choice of words. was lashed out at in the heat of the moment I'm sure.
then I said "Let her actions on the floor be her final word"
Caitlin is such a great player she doesn't need to do that stuff.
I agree with everything you said. I'm old school also.

"old school" ended the night Texas Western beat Kentucky for the national championship. I believe that was about 1966....;)

I've given up trying to explain to some folks the difference between what Caitlin did and what Reese did. Some are just too dense to understand the difference. Don't waste your time.
I know, I’ll just keep calling it out when they insinuate it was the same thing when Clark did not do that Cena motion to her opponent but rather as she walked to her team huddle.

Clark also never did the gesture to ANYONE on LSU. So Reese and others explanation and reasoning is complete baseless garbage!!!! Yet that made it about "woe is me" and Caitlin, like they all hurt. I think they just trying to steal the spotlight(which they already had after winning) or get whatever associated deals as a result, interviews, etc. It is all complete BS & showboating. And it is sickening that anyone is reasoning with how they acted without looking at ALL the facts. Leading up the game folks were arguing on twitter about how blacks are treated differently during a game, then for say someone like Iowa. That narrative floated right into the game on Sunday and I think affected the officiating, in addition to the incompetent ref's. Just my opinion.

It has been stated elsewhere that when Caitlin made the gesture, it was towards the Iowa bench, leading to a timeout. She did not make that "you can't see me" signal to a specific Louisville player.
