This staff needs to do the following:

1. Fire Greg Davis and pay an offensive coordinator with pro style experience to come in and run the offense. Eliminate the shotgun in all but the most obvious passing situations

2. Bench Cole Croston. Move Boone Myers outside if you have to

3. Run the damn ball and scratch where it itches.

4. Figure out recruiting. We should have been out there recruiting JUCO offensive tackles, wide recievers, and safeties to play right away last year. We only were 13th in the Big Ten last year in sacks allowed. Walk ons playing premier positions successfully in practice should be a huge red flag.

JUCOs understandably should be used sparingly - however leaving a season with a premier QB on the table is unacceptable.

I hate to pile on, but the left side of the one isn't getting it done. I'm incredibly disappointed given we supposedly have an OL guru at the helm. Seriously, if Iowa can't recruit OL, it's time to find a whole new staff.

We need to put pressure in the fat cat's son, Brian Ferentz. He was basically gifted this job as OLine coach and run game coordinator. His work has been PUTRID this year. We have 2 walkons starting including Croston at the MOST important position. We need a serious upgrade in talent all over the field including the OLine. Our run game is terrible, pass protection is really bad, and we are getting out muscled up front. Maybe we should be questioning KF on his son and the overpaid strength coach.....

Why he has attached himself to that loser is his biggest downfall to date, and to make matters worse he doubles down on the guy.

Remember boetger as a high schooler? The kid is a string bean, was a QB.

He is not suppose to be that big, or be a olineman. But since they don't recruit well enuf, and since he was willing to get fat, that's what they do.

I believe KF dictates a lot, but bringing in GD and a horizontal offense to pair with a power run game is just completely tone deaf. At least KOK was mixing in vertical stuff much more. But either way I agree it is KF's offense...

What is frustrating the most, is you would figure at SOME point KF would sit there and say to himself, "You know what, we really need to try something new on offense cause what we have been trying up to this point is just stagnant, I bet I could certainly get a good young well thought of coordinator to help me to try and turn this ship around!" Call a few friends, get some advice even!

But he doesn't, he just does the same old crapola O, destroys another potential soaked QB, and gives us all the finger, certainly.

I just don't get it. Does he like people hating him? Is he just that stubborn? Does he honestly think what he is doing now is best and the only way to best run an offense here?

Problem solving is a good thing. He must have missed the chapter on that growing up. The definition of insanity is......

The guy didn't reinvent himself whatsoever last year, we just had an easy schedule and the breaks went our way when we got on a roll.

I still wasn't fooled. Well, this year is your proof.

First order of business: Establish OL & DL. They are abysmal right now. After that I wouldn't mind an just an iota of creativity in both the offense and defense.
