Leading ISU late. Halliburton is out but speaks to their depth, or lack of.

A&M is 1-9.

Will Prohm survive the season? Will Foster be happy with his choice?

God, I remember when Iowa almost lost to
Bryant last year. Losing to teams like that pretty much eliminates you from the tourney unless you auto qualify.

Why is Halliburton out?

Wow what a choke job. 1-9 Florida A & M just won. Hilton magic may be dead right now. I usually don’t visit cyclone fanatic except after Iowa victories but I may have to start my NYE early and fix a drink and get some popcorn and head over and watch the meltdown begin. Cytwins maybe on suicide watch tonight.

Naw, he will point out that Florida A&M beat somebody at some distant point in the past so that clearly means they would drub the Hawks if they played again.

ESPN tweeted this:

Florida A&M beat Iowa State tonight, 70-68, as 25.5 point underdogs at Westgate SuperBook.

Florida A&M entered the game with a 1.3% chance to win according to ESPN's BPI. That's the biggest upset in a game between D-I teams in the BPI era (since 2007-08).

Kind of like losing in the first round as a 3 seed?

The one time where my fandom would've helped me as a bettor. Damn it

Iowa State went from 43 to 56 in KenPom. FA&M went from 323 to 300.

There's several of these games every night in November and December. Doesnt that suggest the ~1% is far too bullish on the chances of these teams?

So, Pollard getting his publicity he craves.

Top of the ESPN MBB page.

Wonder if there will be a billboard erected outside Ames to honor tonite's effort?

In Pollard's defense... I don't think he ever thought he'd still be waiting, in 2019/2020, for Alvarez to retire as AD at Wisconsin. That's his dream job and I don't think he figured he'd have to justify so many bad coaching hires as he's had to. Prohm isn't his worst hire...that's Kevin Jackson, but the MBB program sure has had a high turnover.

In comparisons sake to show how bad this loss is. This would’ve been the equivalent of Iowa losing to the team it beat by 40+ kennesaw st Sunday afternoon.

It’s also official their fan base is done with and turned on Prohm now.

Rough end of the year for Clone fans.

Got their asses handed to them at home by Iowa.
Got their asses handed to them by ND.
Lost to a 1-9 MEAC team at home.

Compared to:
Handing ISU their ass
Handing USC their ass
Ho hum 42 point win against Kennesaw on Sunday.

Life is good boyz. Drink up and happy new year.

Jackson, chizek, Rhoads, Mcdermott, and prohm all questionable hires.
