Daily counts of new cases are falling even in the face of increasing rates of testing.
Seems we're moving in the right direction. Keep your ass on the couch.

Stay on the couch? Interesting...
Yup. Been STFAH for almost two weeks since I posted that. Time to GO BACK TO WORK, AMERICA!
Some of us have been working the whole time florida.
AWESOME! You're the backbone of America! Hopefully more people are allowed to step up and give you some help!
The trend in the last 3 days is really encouraging.Looking at the test results from 4/12 to 4/20 the positive result rate has fallen to just over 8.1%, which has brought the total positive result rate to 9.9%
88,032 tests, 7,163 positive results in the time frame.
Spring breakers don't live in Florida. When will people realize or admit they were wrong about Florida? This was supposed to be the next epicenter because DeSantis just wouldn’t shut down the state. The media wanted so bad for Florida to be NY 2.0 but according to the numbers, along with Texas, they have handled this better than any large populous state. Maybe we will just have to wait another two weeks then Florida’s numbers will really spike.
Love the talking point but we were specifically told cases were going to spike in a Florida because a SIP wasn’t put into place until late. Might have to look down at your playbook to see what talking point you need next to keep up with the narrative.Spring breakers don't live in Florida.
There are actually several spring breakers that live in FL.Spring breakers don't live in Florida.

I'm sure lots of spring breakers are from Florida. I doubt many of them spend spring break in Florida. At least those that are partying like most associate with spring break celebration. There are actually several spring breakers that live in FL.

Yep. I only left Florida once for spring break. When I went to FSU I went to Spring Break in Florida.
That's more sad than informative. When I went to FSU I went to Spring Break in Florida.
Why would we leave FL? It had/has the best spring break places and everybody is coming here? Most of us don’t go hang out at home. We went to the same spring break spots every other kid from out of state went to.I'm sure lots of spring breakers are from Florida. I doubt many of them spend spring break in Florida. Well, no. He’s not the Governor anymore.Did Senator Scott also set up the virus stats, like he did the unemployment stats while he was governor?
I wouldn't count my chicks before they "hatch".

So Florida is ranked 22nd when you sort by deaths per million. Given our density, old population, lack of initial SIP guidance and getting cases and deaths early on, I would say this is amazing!!!!
Narrator voice "Florida is also ranked 20th in tests per million"
Also playing the "you can't have a COVID-19 problem if you don't test game" is Texas ranked 40th and 49th respectively......
Outside of South Florida, Tampa area, Orlando area (and to a lesser extent Duuuuuval), Florida really isn't that densely-populated. LOTS of nowhere and nothing in most parts of Florida.
Stupid remark is irrelevant AND stupid. You mad because things aren't apocalyptic in FL?Did Senator Scott also set up the virus stats, like he did the unemployment stats while he was governor?

There is absolutely no proof of that other than you driving a political agenda. We have been over this before Trad. It is actually the 8th most densely populated state in all of the US.
https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_by_population_density
And those three areas you gloss over have about 12 million people in them. Texas and Florida numbers still are off in my opinion. I think the mortality data that comes out after this will show that they missed a lot.
Florida went red in 2016, so yes, there are posters hoping that it hits the fan there.Stupid remark is irrelevant AND stupid. You mad because things aren't apocalyptic in FL?
Gosh...you hope?We have been over this before Trad. It is actually the 8th most densely populated state in all of the US.

Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach are the most densely populated counties in the state, thus it's logical that they would account for 50% of the cases...they're also some of the "oldest" so that adds to the numbers as well.
When averaged in with counties like Union, Levy, Dixie, Gilchrist, the density picture is immediately lowered. And when you remove areas like the Glades, which is enormous, mostly uninhabitable, and unpopulated, the density is lowered even more. So, it's possible to be third in population, yet third in density/persons per mile. Cali and Texas are similar.
Not contesting your info...just saying that some areas of the state will always skew the overall numbers.First off, I am not hoping for anything. Just pointing out there are signs Texas and Florida have funny numbers that many are suspecting maybe due to not testing enough people. Especially the ones dying at home or in nursing homes.
Second not sure what point you are making on the density. Fact is Florida is overall a densely populated state more like New York (which has their own large rural areas) than Texas (ranked 26 in density). Florida is not that big a state. It just feels that way. It is not even in the top 20 size wise [22], but 3rd in population. New York is 27 and 4. Florida is way closer to a New York than Texas or California when you account for size and population density. Now to be clear, no way am I meaning our numbers should be like New York’s. But they should not be as low I don’t think. Nor should Texas. It’s hard not to look at the top 12 states and not think TX and FL have under reported deaths...Texas really stands out.

Duval - Jax is only testing at 5% positive, and as our numbers tested climb, our percentage remains steady.
