If OSU wins in Columbus against Illinois then the final game is for the 4 seed. Good spot to be in. Yes a win would’ve been nice but if I told you at the beginning of the year we would be in this spot you would’ve taken it

Just sucks losing games that you feel like you have a great shot at winning.

Nunge wasn't going to make a difference in this game. Fran knew Jbo was likely out and his answer was Evelyn who is a worse shooter than Toussaint who is a worse shooter than Connor. Fran wants to run and shoot 3's and has no shooters. Garza has masked a lot of holes on this team. Ball movement doesn't work when teams sag off 10 feet on everyone but CJ.
Definitely right about being happy with season record so far. I just can't flush this loss yet, though, because of the lack of effort I saw from the team until very late in the game. No excuse for that lack of effort up until then, they need to show much better fight when the other team starts getting on a little run early in a game.
You can't flush the fact that game after game we're giving up way too many offensive boards.
This scenario would result in a 3 way tie for 4th. Iowa is 3-1 vs PSU and Illinois which is the best record. They get the 4
Yeah but there is about a 1% chance Iowa goes to Illinois and gets a win, more likely they get blown out, without Garza this is a 6-8 win team max, because besides him rest of the team is HOT TRASH! JW might as well sit on the bench because he is garbage on the floor right now just a waste of space!!!
I definitely wouldn't call Kriener and CJ Fred. trash - Weiskamp has been trash for several games now..BUT..
..To have a stud in Garza and then a couple guys that "aren't trash" is not a recipe for real success.
Fran has got to put together a more well-rounded, athletic lineup.
No what Fran has got to learn to do is coach, and mainly COACH defense, because IOWA still has NO CLUE how to play it and that is 100% on that clown coach we got!!
No doubt - Iowa needs a coach that knows and respects the importance of defense. I'm 110% in agreement.
That’s why next year is going to be so fun with a bunch of shooters surrounding Garza. Kind of like the IA State game this season.
Last night's game was just embarrassing. We seem to lose too many of these "Senior Nights" when the team ought to be fired up. Instead, we let a mediocre Purdue team come to our home court and humiliate us. I've praised this team for their toughness all season. Now is not the time to revert back to timidity and passivity.
