I know not everyone is a fan on here, but you seem to know a lot about bball, and seem to be pretty neutral on your evaluations.
I see posts that Joe W could leave early. I love Joe but didn't think he looked close to ready for the next level.
1. Do you feel like he is currently on the NBA radar?

2. What is the O/U you would put on Garza and Joe W points per game. I am thinking 15 or 16. Would you choose the over or under? I feel Garza will be over. I'm not sure if Joe will since he will get so much focus on the outside.

I think Joe needs to show he can do more than score...can he create for others? Can he create his own shot when he is the focus? I'm not sure about his athleticism, but the key for the NBA for guys like him are that it only takes one team to want you, it doesn't have to be unanimous, and I know he got a lot of positive feedback from the NBA this past spring/summer.

PPG are always difficult to predict without knowing more and seeing more...can Joe T and Bakari create for others if JBo doesn't play? JBo is not a great creator, but his shooting makes room for other guys top operate which has been a huge benefit the last few years. Where does Nunge fit in? How much does the added distance hurt some of their 3PT shooting abilities? How many FTs will they shoot? Cook was in the Top 75 last year in drawing fouls per 40 mins which got Iowa into the bonus pretty early some games. Can other guys make that happen as a team. And there is always the Fran Factor....how many guys will he play and for how many minutes. He's got a lot of guys that think they can play and keeping them all happy will be difficult. I know last year Joe W was frustrated at times by not getting put back when he was rested, and this year could be even crazier with the # of bodies that are available.

In short: I have no effing clue how it will end up. :)

I agree that Joe W. seems nowhere near ready to go pro. I do think that he and Garza could both average 14-15 points a game, but I'll also bet the Iowa scoring is pretty spread out this year. Too many decent players who can get hot in any particular game, like Nunge, Pemsl, Kreiner or any guard you can name. Depends how many minutes Fran gives to some kids. If Bohannon is back, he'll certainly get his points.

Joe W is a good college player but he is not ready for the NBA .
I have seen him compared to k Huerter. No. Huerter has better hops.quicker feet and much quicker release on his shot.
Joe might make the league but he needs more polish...couple more years as lead dog in college.

That's what my eyeballs were telling me last year. There have been several posts about him leaving early. Watching last year he looked at least 2 years away. I have a buddy who watched parts of two practices. He left one discouraged because they couldn't make a bucket. He left the other excited because they couldn't miss a shot. I expect a lot of inconsistency early that hopefully won't cost them a good season.

Garza draws a lot of fouls. With Cook departed, I expect that Garza will draw even more this year relative to mpg.
