For those bagging on JBO...

Maybe if he didn’t dribble backwards so much people wouldn’t ride his ass. 🤣🤣. I love Jbo and he will be missed.

In all seriousness he was money today . Another great game managing the offense , played well enough on D and made some big shots down the stretch. He’s been much improved last four or five games defensively

I think one thing I noticed today was that JBo tried to get in the lane a little more, and many times it would result in a wide open 3. Maybe it's just me, but it seemed like he was going hard when he was in and had an extra step today.

When he does that, we don't need him to score in double figures. We had GREAT point guard play today boys. If that keeps up, look out!

Suck it.... say all you want but he was big today . Too many people riding his a$$. Great game today by 3

Bohannon is an all time great but he's a terrible defensive player and not quick enough to break down on ball pressure. The ball needs to get out of his hands early because he has a hard time creating his own space. He had a decent game today, but when he isn't hitting he's a liability. Again, love the guy as a Hawk but he is -eleventy billion on the defensive end.

Watch the defense in the first 5 minutes of 2nd half. I love Jbo but putting him and Conner is a defensive mess. Blow by after blow by which forced us into zone which led to laughable open looks.

JT and Keegan come in and it’s a defensive clinic. You can’t deny that. Starting Keegan and playing JT more and rotating Jbo in at 2 is what most fans would like to see.

The whole team was off. Don't just blame those 2.

Iowa's zone doesn't work as well with them. But the m2m was excellent.

Yeah I’ll give you that . He does need to be 2. But for today I thought he solid on both ends .

Problem is you don’t know which JT will show up. Is the one out of control and a turnover machine? Or the one we saw today Slowed down and let the game come to him ?

Here you. I would argue though if head given more consistent run to JT throughout the season we would be in a better position. I’ll see how next 2 games go. An 8 man rotation with more JT would be a great thing.

It isn't just you. The whole team looked like they had extra bounce today.

Might be a bit of a stretch. Had a couple of clutch shots but jesus...that defense in their second half run? We all knew what #10 was going to do and he still couldn’t freaking guard him.

JBo is awesome. Some games we need JT and his speed. I think it is more of a bagging on Fran thing.

Need his speed in all games that we'd like to try and win.

He turned it over on an out of bounds play and then came back and made a ton positive things happen on both ends.

How many times did Fran prevent all those good things from happening by overreacting to a TO?

Disagree JT is the same player every game.

He always makes good things happen on both ends and he always turns it over. And theres a ton of good players like that.

The only difference is whether his good plays come before or after his turnover or two.

If you're a coach that values both ends of the court its a no brainer to play him 20 minutes.

Best analysis all day i agree he was very aggressive pushing the ball and getting into the lane played with urgency

Fran drew up an excellent game plan and the team executed almost flawlessly. Jbo played great I concur, but this was due in large to the dramatic change in ball movement. Garza wasn't a black hole. The guards were not forcing passes to him in heavy traffic. Multiple guys (Jbo, Joe T., Cj, Pmac, and Murray) broke down OSU's defense with dribble penetration. Garza didn't wait to get swarmed before dribbling away from the double team which pulled them further away from their guy making it easier for Iowa to catch them in ball reversals. End result was that Jbo, JW, and CJ didn't have to create their own shot, got much better clean looks vs. deep / contested 3's and as a result they knocked them down.

It was exactly the same game plan as always.

The difference is that Michigan is a big fantastic defensive team and OSU is a small average one.

It's stuff like this that makes people LOVE Bohannon or feel like he's constantly worried about what others think.

I like Bohannon but I hate this stuff. You shouldn't care about random Twitter users and by acknowledging their posts this way gives those people a small pat on the back. You can have your podcast and stuff but stop worrying about your online reputation all the time.

I like Jbo but Toussaint and Keegan played some crucial very quality minutes for Iowa today. You are spot on. Toussaint played 14mins tonight which might have been his best minutes of the season. If Toussaint can continue this and put in 14 of those mins every game Iowa is a much better team than when Jbo is playing 35mins a game. Many of us were hoping for a full season of that kind of output from Toussaint this year. When Toussaint and Keegan are on the floor Iowa's defense takes a huge step up. Add in a 90% healthy Fredrick and our D is very respectable in the B1G.

Hey, JBO only called out the Twitter coaches, still means he could be listening to this board's coaches.

JBO has had a very good career. For a guy that is 6'1, not great leaper and lacking elite quickness, he made himself a player by being a good passer, good ball handler, great shooter. I think the entire team put
together a clutch performance vs OSU.

The older generation (us) doesn't care about the social media aspect as much. We didn't grow up with it. The younger generation has grown up with their online presence being what they are identified with, especially the past year during the pandemic. It's why some 'hear' all of the online noise during their careers.

If it can motivate a player, it's no different than Michael Jordan taking every perceived slight he received during his younger days to drive him to want to beat everyone.

Dang, I'm not that old. I'm only 35 :) I've just seen the negatives that far outweigh the positives.
