Foster Visit

Outside of Morris are any of the others doing more than passing out Gatorade and towels?

I'm not sure that putting 7 benchwarmers in the NBA is a deciding factor.

All the ISU fans act like the disparity of pro talent between ISU-Iowa for basketball is comparable to football.

Iowa actually has recognizable all pros in football. Nobody outside of Iowa has heard of the guys on your list.

Passing out gatorade and towels? Hahaha. Matt Thomas just signed a three year deal worth $4.2 million. He will make more money in the next three years than Peter Jok makes in his lifetime. Georges Niang - Three year $5.0 million deal. Where is Uthoff again? Monte Morris may very well make in excess of $100 million in his career. If you dont think this stuff matters to recruits I dont know what to tell ya buddy.

Also, the disparity of ISU players to Iowa players in the NBA is currently 9:0. So you're right, you cant draw any comparisons whatsoever. NFL is currently approximately 3:1 in Iowas favor. Pretty drastic difference.

None of them are "bigs".

Uthoff is with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Come back and gloat when they actually play meaningful minutes in a real NBA game, Clown.

Sharing some mediocre stats about people you have no direct relationship with is one thing. BRAGGING about some mediocre stats about people you have no direct relationship with is just odd. Why feel the need to share this useless stuff on this board? Did u expect people to say “You know this guy is really smart and has some great information. I think I would like to hear more from him”.

Consider therapy.

Or heed Legend's advice.

Was merely responding to the uninformed poster saying Iowa State doesnt send players to the NBA. Thatd actually be Iowa. Simma down now Grandpa!

Nobody outside of Ames thinks of Iowa State as an NBA developmental school.

Meanwhile, Iowa has all pros and future HOF on NFL rosters.

Kittle is the best TE in the league
Marshall Yanda is a future HOF
Micah Hyde is a pro bowler
Desmond King is a pro bowler
Brandon Scherff is a 2* pro bowler
Mike Daniels is a pro bowler
Casey Krieter is a 2* pro bowler

Osemele is about the only active cyclone in either sport to do anything meaningful.

LMAO why are you discussing the NFL on a basketball board? I openly admitted Iowa sends three players to the league per every one Iowa State does. Hit rock bottom as a basketball program when this occurs.

Admittedly, I don't follow the NBA that closely, but outside of Monte Morris I can't think of a single former Cyclone I've seen play a meaningful NBA game in recent memory.

From what I've skimmed through this thread, it seems most if not all Iowa fans recognize former Iowa players are not tearing up the League, so the only purpose your incessant posting of being the taller midget seems to serve is your apparent need of a self esteem boost.

No one gives a shit. Iowa State basketball is not anyone's measuring stick for aspiring to greatness. Again, therapy might be more beneficial to you than posting inane drivel on an Iowa message board regarding the Who's Who of NBA pine riders.

To point out how ridiculous it is for you to thump your chest about a group of players at least 90 percent of the country has never heard of.

In other words: Iowa NFL players > Iowa State NBA bag boys

The point is to draw the clear distinction in what is perceived as a professional developmental school.

Football recruits often cite Iowa as a place that develops NFL talent. That's the reason they're in on elite blue chips like Theo Johnson. Recruits recognize players like Kittle and 1st round picks like Hockensen.

Nobody outside of Ames looks at a few NBA benchwarmers and says I think I'll go to ISU because they put a few benchwarmers in the league.

It's not a recruiting advantage at all.

Step 2 in the "useless bragging posts" handbook is to follow it up with some personal attacks. You are following the playbook perfectly.

Not sure what all this back and forth about whose is bigger has anything to do with Foster's recruitment. Sounds like we are probably in the final 2, so that is reason for optimism.
Yes ... love when posters carry on and on ... about anything BUT the actual topic ... I might as well toss in a 'Hey, anyone gotta a great wing recipe?'

Less than a month to go before a decision. Obviously looks like an instate battle. I think his injury this summer prevented him from getting more attention which also caused his drop in the rankings. I also think before that he was seen as someone who hadn't improved that much from the prior year. It will be interesting to see what his Senior year is like. .

Alot of his ranking drop off too was because he didn't play in the top level AAU Circut when he did play AAU.

Guards/Wings - ISU is more guard oriented, - not necessarily Stretch 4's

Kid from Florida with offers from Marquette, Ohio State, Florida and Florida State etc.. saying what stands out about Iowa State is they send players to the league. Go figure!

LOL if you think that kid had all those offers to choose from when he picked ISU.

Rivals shows offers from ISU, Florida (poster on CF confirmed this one wasnt committable), FGCU, Okie State and Pitt.

TOS shows offers from ISU, Okie State, FGCU and Mississippi State.

What do you attribute Blackwell's free fall in the rankings to?

Kid has dropped 93 spots in the composite since he was initially ranked.
