Get use to it, Fran is not going to get a useful big from the portal, not gonna happen. Iowa's roster already has 5 players 6-9 or taller, adding another player that is average at best is not helping Iowa in the least.
If no one leaves, Iowa only has 1 scholarship left and I wouldn't be surprised if Amarion Nimmers get the last one.
Unless Tony, Ahron, Josh O, or Riley leaves and joins the portal, Fran is stuck with what he has. We shall see....

The fact making the tourney is not the mark of success . In the advent of social media and exponential salaries the expectations go high with it. I stopped my donations and 10k a year IMO is significant especially at my income. I did it because if I expected more I donated more. I am not getting more. Fran needed to hire a defensive strategist assistant coach and never has. Great to be loyal but not at the expense of the donating fan base.

Making the tournament isn't mediocre. Those of you calling for Frans head are the same idiots that got Tom Davis fired and spun our program into the gutter for a long time.

Fran hasn't had things go his way in the tournament which is unfortunate. Those great players that everyone said Fran got lucky with? Yeah no one else wanted them. Fran got them because he is good at his job.

His teams do need to play better defense. Zero doubt and that should absolutely be addressed with the hiring of a defensive coach. So who is that exactly since it seems to be a foregone conclusion this person exists in the world. Name the top 5 assistants in the country we could poach that are defensive experts. Tell us how much it would take to poach them to Iowa. Iowa fans will make sure the money is there.

It is frustrating to watch our teams that obviously can play with anyone fizzle at big moments. That being said I am proud of our players and their success.

Is it possible, conspiracy theory as it may be, that the NCAA selection committee decided to screw Iowa in seeding and placement because of Fran’s sideline behavior, not limited to the stare down?
I’m not saying we lost because we were playing lower-seeded Auburn in their own backyard, but I do find the situation at least a little bit unusual. It would be a bit like Utah playing Iowa State in Cedar Rapids.

But matchups haven't really mattered to this team,.. If anything, we've tended to play contrary to what a given matchup might portend..
