Free throws, refs, announcers

Every fan base thinks this in every conference, truth is there's about a handful of solid officials for CBB and the rest are average at best.
But not every fanbase is right. Do you think Iowa gets the same officiating as Duke?

Sports, and anything else that involves the kind of money changing hands every day in major college sports, is undoubtedly corrupt and result oriented.

That's exactly why Iowa is a good team, but not great. Unfortunately winning close games is the difference between a possible tourney run and an early exit
I don't know what the historical statistics say overall, but from my perspective the Teams that advance in the NCAA Tournament more often than not are the ones who took advantage of their uncontested shots at the Free Throw Line better than their opponent did. They matter, a lot. Make them or go home.

1. Yep.
2. I turned off the volume about 5 minutes into the second half. I’ve decided FS1 isn’t worth listening to if you’re not a fan of a name program.
3. Refs are just about ruining the game. I hope to god that someday vision systems and AI will replace them.
Am I the only person that thinks Fox generally sucks?

No, I think he gets hacked by everyone from multiple angles…
Call the travels, the 3-seconds in the lane, the offensive fouls from him ass-ing his way to the rim, and by all means call the hacks on him. He'll have double-digit turnovers, shoot 10 free throws, and foul out of the game by the 5-minute mark of the first half. He's a great player in the realm of how the game is (incorrectly) officiated in present-day, but the way the game is officiated in present-day isn't really how the game was intended to be played.

He’s a great player depending on how the game is officiated. Very curious to see how he does in the tourney. I don’t recall him having a big impact last year.

CBB is a business at it's core. Does Iowa State get hosed late in games against Kansas and Texas in the B12 or is their fan base just making excuses?

Last year Cameron Krutwig from Loyola went toe to toe with Kofi. Felt like he out played to me but the numbers were CK 19 p / 12 b / 5 a to KC 21 p / 9 b / 0 a

He played 14 minutes and shot twice. Not a good matchup for him or Connor against that team.
Trent Frazier and a couple of other experienced B1G guards can basically take JBo out of the game. This is when Fran needs to sit him and turn the young guys loose, which he pretty much did against Illannoy.
