Heaven, Iowa
and there went our B1G title hopes.

i will remember this season as the season with losses at Penn State, at OSU, and at home to Wisconsin, when all 3 of these games should have been wins (on paper).

Tired of giving a crap! They don't care, why should I?

I still have the memory of the 69-70 team. I don't beleve we will ever see that again.

Just like 2 years ago. Although we did fall from a little higher height this time. After WI, really can't pick this team to win another game until it does. These swoons simply seem to be in their DNA. Ending the rest of this season 0-4 is certainly not out of the question.

I would have taken 11-7 at the start of the season. Absolutely.
But, having this late season complete collapse is harder to stomach than if they would have dropped some of those earlier games and started to play better now.

It's all about the NCAA tourney.

Having a great January doesn't mean jack-sh!t if you can't back it up in later February and March.

This could have been our year for a championship. Not now. So now let's hope for conference championship in the next 5 years or so

I predict Iowa beats Indiana and then loses to Michigan, and Indiana loses to Maryland. There will be many Big Ten co-champions, and Iowa will not be one of them. A fitting end.

Well good lesson for so many to let the season play out completely. How many ridiculous posts about B1G titles, 17-1 / 16-2 conference record, final fours, etc. when we had half the B1G season to go?

Like many I expected this to be a bubble team at 18-19 wins and about a 9-9 record going into the season. I also expected a 3-5 conference start given the schedule so when they got off to 8-0 that was truly amazing. People just lost their minds and now are upset. Too bad we cannot flip the start and finish to the B1G.

Next time remember to enjoy the ride while it lasts because with every up there's going to be a down.

What does it tell you when Fran has to yell at the seniors Uthoff and Gesell to wake up in the second half after the shot clock violation? That's a scary thing to hear as a fan watching this team fight for a championship in the 3rd to last game of the season.

While this team is a good team, they lack one thing. Toughness, you saw OSU body up Iowa and they were getting physical. Gessell, Utoff, and others had shots blocked at the rim, they went up soft and got blocked. They are a "finesse" team and today the officials made it known early that they were going to let them play. Iowa just folds when the pressure is on the line whether it be at home or away, if the game is under 5pts w/2min left we will lose. This team plays scared and not together. Hey they were great in January, but won't be remembered because of their poor play in February/March.

I would love to see somebody (ideally a senior ) on this team just say "F this. I'm not letting this fall apart. We're doing this. You're coming with me. You're coming with me. Let's go...."

I'm wondering who, on this team, would/could be that guy.

Same here, I don't know who that would be? I think the only one who could is Woody, but he would get kicked out of the game right away I am sure.

Fran has to set to the tone Tuesday, otherwise we will get blown out.

i agree with you; at the beginning of the season, if i had told you we would be 11-5 after 16 games, i think most would take it; the following 5 losses seemed likely at the beginning of the season:

@MSU
@Purdue
@ MD
@IU
another road loss

it's just how we got to 11-5 that completely sucks

Its a shame that we will not win our 1st outright B1G championship in 46 years and if we don't start playing better, March Madness will quickly turn into "March Sadness"

Woody. No matter his limitations, he works his @$$ off.
