When asked about Vince Turk, one of the guys around his weight class described him as "One tough SOB." Figured it was pretty good if a peer and potential competitor for a spot described him like that.

Thanks chief. I'm excited to see what Turk accomplishes during his red shirt year!
I've been of the opinion since he committed to the Hawks that he's underrated. This board included. Kids a beast. He wrestled a tough schedule in high school at a top notch program under an excellent high school coach. One reason he was under the radar is due to him not really taking off till his junior year. His style is really going to make Iowa fans excited. Having him Kemmerer and Marinelli in the lineup is going to be really fun to watch.
Just a thought but do we wait a little bit into the season to see how 141,157,165, HWT shake out before we pull Burak's shirt? They do have Klap who is a senior and is not chopped liver that would be more than capable and has put his time in.
If we had Burak in there next year along with Kemerer (157/149), Turk (141), maybe a true freshman Marinelli 165 and another season on Stoll I think we are the favorites.
That being said I am hopeful Grothus can get down and do great things at 141 and that 1 or 2 of the guys at 157,165 and HWT can produce meaningful points at NCAAs. If things point in that direction I would wrestle Burak.

I believe a big part of Burak wrestling unattached early the last couple years has been health related and partially due to a very easy early schedule - not really necessarily to see how the rest of the team is panning out for our NCAA run.
