Dembele and Traore problems are there head coach/his system. Another coach could take this team over and get more out of these guys. Lot of good pieces, but all the white guys are all too soft/lacking any muscle.

Yes....and that game vs New Hampshire didn't help us get ready for Wisconsin.

Iowa came out on fire on offense but couldn't get any stops. Sure Wisconsin is on fire from 3pt line, but I don't think they'd score like that vs Iowa State. At some point I'm hoping some of Fran's fans will realize this guys approach to B-ball is fundamentally flawed and we need to move on.

I do not agree that defense is just effort.
You need quickness to rotate and get there.
We lack quickness at some positions.
We also lack strength.
Good defense is coaching, quickness and strength...then effort on top.

Yes, I do think Fran's system is flawed. This experiment with 4 guards (if you call Payton a guard) is nice visually on offense when they are making shots. but they aren't getting stops though. The offense was on fire for first 12 or 15 minutes but we couldn't get any separation.
I do think if FRan were a normal coach, he'd cut back playing time on Defensive Sieves and poor shot selection and some of the problems would be self correcting. JoeT used to get the hook for offensive lapses and Fran didn't really appreciate his defense.. No one gets quick hook for just being bad on defense or not rebounding. I like Josh Dix a lot and he puts a lot of effort on defense, but in 4 guard lineup, you 6'5 guard needs to get more than 2 rebounds. Anyway, I don't think the loss means much either way. Fran usually wins half his games in B1G. He won't change his stripes. He has firm belief that he is a stud coach.
