Oh boy. What advantage do the colleges get from acting as minor leagues for the pros. Especially when a star player leaves early, Yes a college may get more notice from a recruit when he sees that this college gets noticed as producing pro players Bout all, that I can see.

Sure, but I think the NBA would be fine if all that evaluation took place in their own G League. The NBA is the basketball pinnacle and just because they can use CBBs existence to their advantage doesnt mean they owe something material back. That's what im confused about

I'd be curious to know what the average was for the last 5 years and which way its trending or if 19 was an outlier.

If 2019 becomes the norm than it makes more sense leaving early I guess.

Still I'd want pretty solid info indicating I was a priority to a team in the second round.

it is trending that more and more 2nd rounders get guarantees. I think 10 or 15 years ago almost none of them got guaranteed contracts. Wouldn't surprise me if almost all of them got guarantees in a few years the way it is going. Like I said the other thing with 2nd rounders is they don't have team options on their contracts so they get to be free agents 1-3 years sooner than 1st round picks (depending on their contract).
