Garza has passed better out of the double teams these last few games

Rebounding was good today by the team also. That was nice to see.

Yep, its a different looking team since the loss to Minnesota.

Hes being more patient, beating the double with ball movement and everyone is getting better shots because of it.

Iowa has gone from a good offensive to a great offense.

I won’t bump your thread, but his passing out of double teams has really made a difference for this offense. He had a sweet skip pass to Fredrick in the corner (wide open) and a great feed to a cutting McCaffery who dished it to an open Fredrick in the corner (wide open) as a couple plays that really stood out today

Yes the maturation of a really good college player and a really good college team. Happy to see these adjustments being made. Think the 2009 Orlando Magic run they made to the finals. It was Dwight Howard getting the double team inside and kicking out to so many shooters.

But Dwight can't make a perimeter shot like Luka.

Not only his passing out of double teams but everyone else keeps moving and gives him a target. Really great offense today by all of the Hawks.

Hansbrough was also surrounded by 3 first team all ACC guys plus another all American. I think you can see the different and just appreciate Garza’s sensation

Luka is better than Hansbrough but Anthony Davis was the best college player since Tim Duncan.

His one year was probably the most dominant I can think of.

Zion would have been right there if he had played a full year.

I might rank Kaminski over Hansbrough.

I agree that Garza looked like a caged animal on the bench when he was sentenced to shutting it down early today. The one thing that I worry about. Does Garza see that hey I only got 17pts today because I played so little; guess I better make sure that I get mine next game. I sure hope HE realizes how good all those other aspects of his game, that were already mentioned above, were today and have been recently. That Garza today, in a full game setting, made Iowa good enough to win a National Title. A selfish Garza makes Iowa limited and not good enough to win it all. He needs to keep rebounding, passing, and playing defense like he has recently! I would agree that he is the best college player since Anthony Davis.
