if Iowa is going to pull off the upset victory. Wieskamp needs to step it up as well. Maybe not a must win game but 1-4 would be a pretty big hole to start in if you think we have to go .500 in the Big Ten to earn a tourney bid. GO HAWKS!
No, he’s out at least 4-6 weeks and possibly done for the year.Maybe I missed it somewhere, but is CJ playing?
I agree. Iowa needs a couple of other players to play well because opponents are now hyper focused on defending Garza. Not concerned about Garza, provided everybody else can do their job...

ESPN lists Frederick as a game time decision vs. Maryland. I don't expect him to play and as of yesterday neither does Fran apparently:No, he’s out at least 4-6 weeks and possibly done for the year.
what we need, is for some of our guards to drive into the lane with a purpose other than stopping 10 feet away from the basket and just passing to somebody else. They need to drive in the lane with the intention of going to the hoop or of pulling up and taking an easy jumper. If any of our guards had done that against Nebraska, we win the game easily. It was frustrating to watch guards either not drive into the lane at all or driving the lane with the sole intention of stopping and passing to somebody else. There is zero threat in that, and that's why we lost against Nebraska.
If Austin Ash is available, I wonder if he could give us minutes. He's supposed to be a great shooter and has been with the team for a long time. All we need is someone capable of knocking down open 3s and playing something resembling defense.
Was he the walk on that was sick for PSU?>If Austin Ash is available, I wonder if he could give us minutes. He's supposed to be a great shooter and has been with the team for a long time. All we need is someone capable of knocking down open 3s and playing something resembling defense.

“He’s still working through it.....It doesn’t look real good, but we’ll see."
but I haven't seen an announcement or report confirming an extended absence.
That makes sense and I'm sure he is getting excellent medical care but the poster I replied to made a definitive statement about CJ:You may not see much unless they decide to shut him down for the remainder of the season which is a real possibility. It’s not easy to predict when inflammation is going to leave a bone. I don’t see this being a couple of days.

Ash is out with mono and he probably weighed 150 soaking wet before, so he probably look like an 8th grader now. Was kinda wondering if Van derloo could give a few minutes? If Austin Ash is available, I wonder if he could give us minutes. We are in a bad spot if we want Austin Ash to get minutes.
