It’s my understanding the president has no influence on gas prices when they go up but all the influence when they decrease

Prices peaked early June when gasoline stocks hit nadir.
Gasoline stockpiles have increased since and the price has gone down.

Biden personally churned our gas like butter to help offset the costs. Thank you Joe Biden.
People are driving less, eliminating discretionary driving.

Yes, it's good to see the steady decline over the last month and a half. Unfortunately when gas prices go up, it's like a damn rocket, but when they come down it's more like a feather. Let's hope it continues. I have noticed groceries dropping as well.

I think of this mostly as tongue in cheek considering how much the right railed about gas prices when they where peaking.
It's not like they are going to be consistent and suddenly give him credit and say he fixed the problem.
They have us right where they want us when we are happy that gas prices are dropping to $3.70.
Lets pump the "tanking" brakes a bit. 1 year ago they were $2.75.

1 year ago we where still in COVID and few people where traveling.
Too many variables for most people. They just want to blame the other side for whatever troubles them. Just look at inflation around the globe and how people are blaming their politicians (left and right).
I wont speak for you, but 4th of july 2021 had over 46M traveling. Compare that to this year at 47.9M, you can see plenty of people were traveling last summer.
