Getting close to the start of the season… what will be the first offensive play from scrimmage?

As I read these options, the same vision pops up...one of the linemen completely whiffing and the play getting blown up.
If they get a short field, maybe a dropkick for 3 points.
Funny thing is I almost added that part. I wonder if that Ferentz staple makes its way into the Lester offense.
Or holding on a long run to start the season that really isn’t a hold but a pancake like the female ref called last year with an unsportsmanlike on the pancake block by Jones, the Iowa center.
JFC that was a terrible call.
With the way the QB room has been this fall, McNamara will probably throw a pick six that is tipped at the line of scrimmage and right into a db’s lap for ISU’s only score of the game.

There won't be a read option on it though like in this example. Strong side end will be blocked and the QB will read the Sam or Slot Corner, whichever they have out there. I think we will also be in 11 personnel. So 1 TE with 3 WRs, not 4 WRs.
We go with the handoff and it gets stuffed for a 1 yard gain. I'll celebrate anyways because it's something new.
When I started my Iowa dynasty on NCAA that was my first play this summer. Didn't realize my playbook changed from regular games. Hope they don't have that problem.

Cheney, Weitjen, Jones... there's more but it's like we are trying to make it more difficult for our offense because we run the jet sweep to the same guys out of the same formations.
