Yes it is I missed that. Was how Ty Eustice beat Metcalf with a peantly point 2-1 in Metcalf rs year at VT.
That's what I thought, and was stunned it didn't get called. Was in the 3rd (maybe) and in neutral. NT swiped at Gilman's head and his hand came down and grabbed Gilman's left singlet strap, to the point it came down over Gilmans shoulder and Gliman had to it fix it. It was obvious.
I knew TE beat BM 2-1, but didn't know it was on a penalty point. Interesting!
It's not a penalty unless it's intentional or done to gain an advantage. There isn't one official there that would call that a penalty. It was completely incidental.

Hahaha. Obviously it wasn't a penalty, was it? I guess I missed where they called it? Two officials, two coaches in the corner, video review and no call. Not even a discussion.
Once again incidental snagging of a singlet will NEVER be called by any official worth his salt. If a guy grabs a singlet to gain an advantage then yes, it's absolutely a penalty.
Sorry for the snarky response. I worked as a HS and college official for 16 years and sometimes get tried of fans that have never even opened a rulebook, criticizing and complaining about perceived injustices and things that should have happened regarding officials' and their calls. I should have kept my mouth shut but something like that isn't even on the radar for an official to call, especially in the National semifinals. Had he grabbed it and went in for a shot, then absolutely, it's called. He tried to snap the head if I recall and as his hand slipped off, his fingers caught the singlet on the way down. No advantage gained of any kind.

Yep seemed an incidental grab that was immediately let go, no penalty warranted.
