Go root for ISU calling for Fran to be gone

It almost feels like the braves when Cox would get them to the playoffs but only got them 1 title. There will always be that group that wants more. Personally, I think it's a fair gripe.

I'm an ISU fan and I hope you keep Fran around forever.

Prohm the savior produced a 10-8 season where clown fans said isu would win the Texas Ten.

National Coach of Year hands down. Clown fans will tell you just ask.

Gonna be rough for the Clones. Won't argue that.

Rough for the Clones, just look at the hawks. Might as well declare the ISU/Iowa game a NCAA game. Neither team will make it next year.

I am just hoping next year the hawks can make the NIT/CBI. God we are losing a lot and I do not have faith in the bench.

Feeling the same way about my team. No front court whatsoever.

Much of the same was said about Iowa coming into this year.

Good luck next year lol
It will suck having an all American guard back, along with Matt Thomas and Naz Long. Throw in Burton and Malou and Iowa losing 4 starters. Bye bye birdie. Losing the last 6 of 7 doesn't feel so good!

If Morris comes back he is an idiot. His stock is high and he will get drafted. He needs to go.

Um okay who do you have on your bench if they all return? Prohm going to play them 40min every night?? Not good.

Is this another selective history argument from Kinky? Here I thought according to him only Iowa fans did this.

Kinky owns himself yet again. Keep posting kink, isu grads love it.

I think both teams will be fine next year and don't like ISU fans poking Hawk fans after the loss last night. I thought it was douchey to have posts on HR celebrating every ISU loss. I guess it's ISU's fans turn to be douchey now. I guess that's why there's so much hatred in this rivalry.

If Monte comes back I will be surprised if they don't make the NCAA tournament. They will bring back 4 players with starting experience

Yes but you need 5 to play. Also need bench players as well. Does ISU have any returning? I am being serious, I think this year you saw ISU had to ride their starting 5 and fatigue set in. That is why you saw Georges Foul out more this year. He was gassed and playing lazy defense at times and ended up fouling.

Assuming Monte returns considering that is the talk around Ames, ISU will have a terrific back court in Monte, Naz and Matt Thomas. Babb's brother transferred in and is sitting out this year, jury is out on how good he is. Cooke will be back if he doesn't transfer out, not sure he'll help much. They are bringing in a JUCO PG that Fran wanted that I've heard some really good things about. Front court will be the question mark as they really only return Burton. They are bringing in a JUCO PF that is supposed to be really good, he chose ISU over Kansas and Arizona. They will do everything they can to get one or two graduate transfer front court players which will help a lot. Long story short, if Monte comes back ISU will be an NCAA tournament team

As a Hawk fan I can agree with that. I've been paying attention to what ISU might have next year and they could actually have a bench of 2-3 guys. But the key like you said is if Monte comes back. So the rumor is that he is? Why? A healthy Naz could put up 15 a game. Thomas could as well and if Monte comes back well offense wont be a problem.. but rebounding and post D?

Brady Ernst, the solution to all problems is Brady Ernst..... And Stu Nezlek.

ISU will have plenty of capable guards next year even if Monte doesn't come back. I'm guessing Monte will go get some advice and if he thinks he will be a first round pick he will go, if not he will come back. There has been some buzz he's leaning towards coming back but it'll probably come down to his play in the NCAA Tournament. I think ISU is going to get two more front court players, they already offered a graduate transfer from Northern Illinois and I'm sure they will be heavily involved with more get announced. Besides Burton and Malou I don't feel too confident with what they are bringing in or who they have now. They definitely need to add a graduate transfer guy

Yeah I agree but they cant just get any graduate post player 80% of those guys arent good enough for the B1G or Big 12. I'm not a typical Hawk fan that wishes the end of days on ISU. My dream is that both programs are top 25 every year and the Iowa - ISU game is big nationally every year with of course Iowa winning a strong majority. That said lets hope both teams are tourney worthy next year.

ISU's front court will no doubt take a step back next year but their back court will be better if Monte comes back. I expect with Monte back next year Iowa State will hanging around #25 in the polls instead of #15 like they did most of this season. I just don't think the step back will be as big as some are expecting or hoping

100, JWR - If you can't cite this year's result and the most recent history, what can you cite? Would it make you feel better if I said 7 of the last 9? 8 of the last 11? The result is the same. ISU has dominated the series lately. That's the point. Now selective history is when you come back and say that Iowa has dominated the all time series, and cite the Iowa run from 1909-1920. Which no one cares about in the year 2016. Get it?

Enjoy your 8 seed in Spokane.

Iowa will still make the final four. Count on it.

ISU will lose in the first round. Count on it.

Iowa wins by 15 next year in Carver. They'll be mad and Jok will be unguardable.

Both Iowa and ISU have been huge disappointments this year.

I wouldn't defend either one.
Iowa St probably yes.

But Iowa has a better record than most predicted at the start of the season. If you just want to look at the last 5 games, then I would agree the finish of what started out to be a magical Big Ten season has been a disappointment.

I think ISU will be a bubble team next year with having good guard play.

no clue about Iowa. They seem to lose a lot, but their bench has shown flashes at times this year.

Haven't been on in awhile, but I see JWR/100 is still getting destroyed as per usual.

After a quick 10-second scroll I like how this turned into an Iowa/ISU debate. Both teams have majorly underperformed. Neither fan base should be talking any smack to the other ... Neither of these teams is going beyond the second round (maybe not even the first)

10-8 in theTexas Ten will show isu isn't as great as clown fans think. The clowns had what a 4 seed last year and did it matter, nope UAB punked you. I have a feeling history is waiting to repeat itself. The best part is that kink and fellow isu grads everywhere will ignore it and state how they will be so much better next year.

Clowns are to be laughed at and not taken seriously. Keep up the great work kink.

I don't think Iowa has been a disappointment. They exceeded expectations until February before going through a rough patch.

As for ISU they haven't lived up to many preseason expectations. That said losing Naz was pretty big. Despite that hole they really don't have a bad loss. UNI is probably the worst. Texas Tech on the road would be the other one I suppose.

isu always has the saviors on the way. Wayne Morgan version 2.0 is already entertaining I can't wait to see more.

Texas Tech was not a bad loss at all, especially losing to them on the road. They have a higher RPI than Iowa and are #35 on KenPom

I would make the case that until NCAA's are over it is premature to call either team underperforming for the season. If either makes a good run, everything in the regular season will be forgotten.
