Go to the parade!

First of all I was at the game and want to give a shout out to the Hawkeyes. I sat next to a cool group and had a great time. The game could have gone in either direction.

When you're at the Rose Bowl, go to the parade and the pep rally. I thought the parade would be stupid but it was awesome and really gets you jacked for the game. Go to the pep rally. The MSU pep rally was right outside the Staples Center and there was about 20,000 people in attendance.

Did you take a shuttle to the parade or drive a car? If you drove, any info on parking?

I would say don't go to parade, you have to get up around 3am New Years Day, get there, wait forever, watch the parade, wait in traffic for hours. You can barely make it to the game in time for kick off, you won't be able to tailgate or even hav a beer if you go to the parade.
Just my experience.

The parade was boring after awhile. Having to get up early New Year's Day is no fun either!

We just walked from the parade to the game. Lots of people walked from the parade to the game when I went. Yeah, it's a bit of a hike, but still had plenty of time hang out outside of the stadium before the game.
