The Gophers had what had to be the worst QB play in the Big 10 last year to go along with a ton of injuries. Would rather just forget about 2017, other than the 54-21piss pounding Minnesota administered to the Children of the Corn.
Then again, pretty much everybody killed Nebraska last year. That was one of the worst Big 10 teams I've ever seen.
Gopher fans are crossing their fingers that the QB situation is improved, but with zero experience returning, it's gonna be a crapshoot. Iowa would appear to have the advantage there going in. I know you're all pretty high on Nate Stanley, yeah?

Children of the Corn...certainly you can do better than that. (ISU is the ag school, Nebraska is the Cornhuskers, MN and IA have roughly the same % of people living/working urban vs rural and Minnesota is also a top 5 corn producer). But we all know that the typical Minnesotan is constantly rotating between the Dakota and the Guthrie...or would that be a dumpy shack on a frozen lake?
If QB is improved, the Gophs will be a better team this year. Home field advantage will help (despite the tradition of visitors showing strong in your house) and if our LBs don't mature you may have a shot. Should be a good game.
